Nice build but does not take advantage of 5kw available alternator power which would eliminate LPG and give instant electric hot water.

What would you set up to take advantage of that?

@@Doodlkine1 we extract a minimum of 3,000w from factory installed second alternators or 5kw if we install one of ours on a genuine second mount. This means you can recharge 400 Ahrs Lithium in an hour

Looks amazing. But these things have got about a 800kg payload, right? Surely after you put a bottle of milk in the fridge you've got no space left without being over GVM.

On the money Sam!! Ram 1500 GVMs are crap. They also state they can tow 4.5t but if you do the maths they can’t physically do it. The GCM is blown before you get in the car or add fuel. Company’s that manufacture canopies like this will instantly recommend you get a GVM upgrade as they know the extra weight involved. GVM upgrades are a different beast altogether for a new vehicle (unregistered) let alone trying to get a GVM upgrade done on a vehicle that has already been registered. ie if you have it done in Qld it’s only legal for that state. If it’s done new and before registration you can get federal compliance. All in all add another $8000 onto what they charge for these canopies.
