That looked like a good restaurant. The naan and the murgh makni both looked excellent. I use my adaptation of Madhur Jaffrey's recipe for murgh makni, and it always comes out well. The NY Times reporters often say to follow the Indian and Pakistani taxi drivers to get the best Indian/Pakistani food. I live in Detroit. There are good Indian/Pakistani restaurants here, but a lot depends on the chef. I have seen good restaurants suffer when a good chef leaves. I found you because of your Amtrak video. I've been riding on Amtrak for many years. If you have the time, then the California Zephyr from Chicago to San Francisco is great. I use a combination of poblano and chipotole peppers, and they add a lot of flavor. Once you get to Denver, the mountain scenery is wonderful. The western trains have a family bedroom which has beds for two adults and two kids. They are on the first floor of a sleeper; the bathrooms on that floor do not get much traffic, and the shower gets even less traffic than the bathrooms. The prices are usually lower if you book ahead before many tickets are sold. I usually meet some interesting people on the train.

Thank you for those tips. On finding the best Pakistani and Indian restaurant, we couldn’t agree more. Last year, when we visited Lisbon, every taxi driver kept mentioning the same Pakistani restaurant so we went there and it was great kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6fWe6WhbdF4mM0si=epUV7LdNJIQhZeYH We are happy your found us through the Amtrak video. We just booked another 33 hour coach ride on Crescent 20 from New Orleans to New Yorker for this year. Next year we plan to try Amtrak on the west coast and maybe get a family sleeper. And yes we have been eyeing the Zephyr for a while. Thank you again for all the tips!
