Ace of Spades is such a perfect 1st step into real aggressive rock. They’re not quite thrash, or metal. They were the first band all the punks, thrash, and metal kids could agree upon.

Just let dudes air it out for fuck sakes. Just 10 years ago it was still very different, some big dude wanted to dish it out but couldn't take it and got handsy so i beat his ass and even the bouncer didn't give a fuck. I worked on Rose Tattoos roadcrew for years and got to tour Australia with Motorhead twice. What a wonderful bunch of guys, so down to earth it's ridiculous. RIP Lemmy.Philthy, Fast Eddie and Wurzul and cheers to Slasher their sound guy the funniest fucker you'd ever meet.

Big motorhead tattoo fan. Saw the tatts first time in 1980 . I saw Them multiple times in around sydney after that (all different lineups) they were so f....g loud. Never saw my favourite version of motorhead( lemmy, phil and eddie) but I did see them with robbo and again multiple times with wurzel and philthy.

I’ve been lucky enough to have seen Motörhead three times and the diversity of the crowd was amazing. All ages and music tastes together having a blast. A Motörhead show was always heaps of fun. No fights, no bullshit just singing along as loud as you could and big smiles all round.

This is the band that every thrash band was weened on. Phil Philthy Animal Taylor was the first drummer that used the double bass drum(2 bass drums played with the feet) to give that heavy bass running feel to fast music. He was the inspiration to so many bands. RIP Phil. RIP Lemmy❤️

I’m gonna give a little background on them. They were a biker band meaning that early on, bikers showed up to their shows as they were a favorite of those guys. Also, they were famous for doing speed, the drug. So bikers again, it’s part of it.

I saw Motorhead in concert about 8 times and it's one of the only bands where everybody comes. Punks, rockers, bikers, country fans, rap fans and slam pit maniacs. Never witnessed any violence or disagreements, just high energy fun.

Motorhead was known as speed metal. They were a mixture of punk and original heavy metal. Without Motörhead there wouldn’t be bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, etc. Motörhead, in my opinion change the course of heavy metal forever.

I met Lemmy at a bar in Hollywood before a show in the 80s. He recognized that I was a Marine, bought me a beer or twelve, gave me a ticket to the show and gave me a shout out during the show. A real gentleman.
