Welcome to my Ritualist Build guide for Remnant 2, with my build called the "Witch Knight". This build uses a lot of components from the new Remnant 2 DLC, The Awakened King and is an absolute blast to use on all difficulties, including Apocalypse.

Things affecting status duration are currently bugged so damage should probably be even better once they fix it. The bug makes Fanatic ring stronger than it should be. Once things are fixed we will probably have 2 build options of Neck Coil + Timekeeper's Jewel for bigger Coil explosions and Sinister Totem + Fanatic for big DoT damage. Others have mentioned Ahanae Crystal and Krell Axe, I'll point out Stormbringer, makes enemies weaker to status damage, combos well with Krell Axe, and it is worth considering Corrosive Rounds instead of Overflow for the crit stacking as you have a bunch of other + crit in the build.

Would recomment replacing stone of balance (7% all dmg) for Ahanae crystal (5% all dmg per status effect) It goes well with miasma. You get the ring by completing yaesha hardcore on any difficulty. For best run, get the zone that has ravanger and kill the doe at the end.

Absolutely this, also ritualist is the worst class to use for builds that are using DOT as a damage source. Increasing the duration actually hurts your DPS currently. It ONLY increases the duration taking the same damage and spreading it out over a longer time. Using Ritualist to do massive damage to targets suffering from status effects with things like Ahanae crystal and Abrasive Whetstone are good. If you want to do DOT damage you actually want to avoid Ritualist but use those same items and the build will work well. Getting large DOT ticks and reapplying the DOTs constantly.

1 planet on Hardcore, you can reroll the campaign until you get Yaesha with Forgotten Grove as the first zone. That means you beat 2 mid bosses and just kill the Doe so you get to skip the Ravager fight. You can do it if you try enough times no problem. If you die, you only lose a hardcore character that hasnt gotten anything yet. @@brookspn

for the melee weapon i personally love krell axe with the tainted blade mutator overload and corrosion (and corrosion makes anamies take more damage so is always good to have more) while staying at a distance which is nice and this axe being a +20 weapon despite having a special effect, does very respectable damage, adding the first overload proc it basically oneshots every mob

One thing to add. When picking traits for damage reduction also compare your total DR between using Barkskin and Fortify. Depending on your armor Fortify can net you a much more significant DR.

Try the timekeepers jewel (ring) out. Do some testing at the range and although it’s everywhere, I’d recommend the Krell axe with tainted blade. Helps apply corroded and boost those crit numbers.

Could potentially be worthwhile to use (or at least test) the Madness Mod (Fargazer) from The Legion on Yaesha on the Sparkfire Shotgun, and pairing it with Enigma or the Krell Axe for Overloaded. Since Madness is a somewhat unique status effect and iirc it doesn't show up anywhere else from players. I'm definitely gonna look into trying this out later today though. Seems really fun!

When I was on apocalypse difficulty I was struggling trying to kill any of the major bosses with elemental resist because they take significantly reduced elemental dmg with overall reduces the dmg of the shot gun.

@@uMAD_NYc nah dude that was valid constructive criticism, showing character screen even for a short duration is good if you cant remember that one ring he talked about, instead of hopping through the timestamps to try and find it again. If he wanted to be "unique" or "hip", devolving in showcasing builds is not the way.

If you can find a checkpoint crystal near an area where there’s about 10 or so enemies that spawn around it (use hunter first ability to see easily), you can use the ritualistic hex ability to nuke that and farm xp really quick. Spawn in, nuke, hit checkpoint and repeat. Sometimes you might get lucky and get a horde to spawn after you kill the first group of enemies.

I found a great farming spot in the Forlorn coast, you can get between 1-2k every run which takes around 20-30 seconds to kill everything, it’s the one I used to level up Ritualist and also the other couple archetypes I never used 😅

Yeah, the place I used was the bridge just round the corner from that Crystal. Theres a tonne of smaller ads, plus some of the Fallen, along with one of the stronger enemies with the anchor weapon, they alone give you around 500xp

This is straight up nearly the build I used to test Ritualist before it released, great work! Have you tried this with krell axe? thrown melee damage counts as a charged attack :0

My build wasn't optimized by any means, fresh character and all, but definitely a very fun playstyle!

I have yeah, although I’ve been using the Worlds Edge a lot with it lately and that’s been a blast, especially with the Tainted Blade mutator. It can absolutely butcher the frame rate in some areas (mostly Losomn), but it’s super satisfying to hit one target and then see all the rest fall to the floor as the poison spreads 😅 Popping the Shocker Mutator on Worlds Edge with the build is also crazy, especially if you can line up multiple targets with one heavy swing, the amount of times you can prock the ability along with the Overloaded spread is crazy 😂

Great vid. I changed out the amulet for Sinister Totem and Burden of the Destroyer for Ahanae Crystal ring and Cinged ring instead of Stone of Balance to meet my personal preference. This really helped tune my build.

The funny thing is, i was basically already doing this🤣 only difference is I'm using Alchemist as my secondary class and something else i forgot instead of Stone of Balance

Have kinda the same but swapped to rangde dmg and range crit chance and elemental damage on the tranquil heart, i use singed ring aswell as the enemy is always on fire, so no burden ring 🤔

Try using sinister totem, band of the fanatic, ahanae crystal, singed ring and red ring of death, melts everything on apoc

Theres a bug where the infected status spreads to breakable objects too dropping your frames amd even crashing the game... specially on the castle tiles since theres a lot of breakables

actually band of fanatic (currently) increases status dmg much more than 25%. the ritualist status duration trait (and the one ring that does that too) ONLY increases the duration but the dmg stays the same. so if you do 500 dmg over 10 seconds (50 dps) you now do 500 over 20 seconds (25 dps). massive dps loss if you can reapply status effects before they would run out without the duration trait. but with band of fanatic you would get 500 dmg (ignoring the 25% inc damage, cause you can get this from another amulet too) over 13,5 seconds, pushing the dps back to 37. the problem is aknowledged by the devs and they look for a solution. but this also means that ritualist is currently the weakest archetype for dot builds on bosses. the satusspread on death for mobbing is still damn awesome. i just hope the patch comes soon, because i really love ritualist with his perks

Yeah the best DoT build in the game is 5-charge Bing Bang shot. Stack mod dmg and generation. Run red ring of death to get 2 stacks of the fire DoT, and do Band of Fanatic for a tight duration that only lasts a couple seconds but hits like a truck. I can get 2x fire dots with basically an infinite uptime on 5-charge Big Bang shot that ticks for almost 1k each. That means, I'm doing 4k dmg with the big bang shot, and a further 2k every second. Within 2 ticks, my big bang is back up ready to use. It's easily the strongest build in the game due to how DoTs increase damage if ypu condense their duration. So why not go all in on one specific DOT application (the strongest being a 5 charge big bang), and use the fire amulet that gives you a whopping 50% increase to burn, and double it up with red ring of death you. I can 2 tap abberations on Apoc in about 4-5 secs with this build.

The main reason is because I haven’t got it yet 😅 my mate managed to find it literally 10 seconds before I joined his game, and haven’t found it on any of my Yaesha runs yet

That’s one of my go to’s, the main reason I don’t have it in this build though is because with the Sparkfire, I can get 3 different status effects on an enemy with a single shot. But when I’m going against anything that’s immune to poison or fire, I do tend to switch to Merciless

dunno The build I made feels like does more dmg, and the trowing axe if alot better overall. I can almost one shot all normal mobs on 2 player co op. hardest diff.

That's almost identical to my build but I think my my dish out at 10 more damage from status effects I'm using the one that does extra damage to enemies on fire instead of the 7% damage increase and since you're using sparkfire everything is always on fire I forget the name of it at the moment I'm not at home

I know the one you’re on about, the main reason I use that ring though is to increase the weapon damage as well, for using Rampage and dealing the shotguns physical damage

I thought the Ritualist was broken right now and hopefully it will be fixed in December. Something to do with 50% less. Idk this game is so broken "Still". How is the new class and most important part of your new dlc broken? If you get anything right.

The only time I’ve really found issues with it is in multiplayer, when running solo it’s been fine for the most part. I’ve found that most of the bosses in N’erud seem to be the least consistent with the Archetype, haven’t had many issues with other worlds

Not to be rude, there is no way you’ve personally played the new class with that comment. If you have then sorry. Yeah its only doing half the damage it’s supposed to but its still crazy damage. If they were never transparent about it and no one would be the wiser. Im just happy Gunfire is honest and overall for 10 dollars is an easy 8/10 DLC and adds a lot to the game.
