Where did you get the DVD tapes? I taped them on the equipment from the website I get my TV from. Whenever I change or turn in my equipment I loose my tapes. I love SS&D.

Found this because I was looking for the Rob Estes scene from the first film. I rewatch it over & over in the copy of the film i have where he reveals to Oliver he's an angel & talks about the 4th wise man. My mom loved the series & these films until she died in December 2018. I wish I understood what was going on in this scene.

This scene? So olivers dad has told him hes not his biological father. His real dad had wrote him letters but i forget why he never received them.. so he finally gets them and has an argument with his dad who took him as his son. He goes to church to think and sees the windows, Jesus reaching out to Joseph who also wasnt his dad but loved him anyway as his son.. so he changed his mind and went to find the letters from his real dad.

Well basically Oliver's (the main guy) Dad (who's driving the car to the airport) has been away for a long time and when he suddenly came back Oliver sent him away. Now he's feeling guilty and is trying to find him but he has already gone. His Dad gave him a pile of letters that he tried to send to his son and that were accidentally returned to sender. Oliver threw the letters in the trash but later regretted it, which is what you see happening in this video, the trash has been emptied. Now he is fatherless once more...

It's a great tv movie. Vicky is mostly right. A couple of corrections. Oliver's Dad hasn't been away, Oliver walked out on his Dad and never looked back. Oliver is an only child, and his mom had left them both, leaving his father to finish raising him. Oliver thought his dad was keeping his mom away from him out of spite, and he never heard from his mother again. He felt betrayed and utterly alone. After Oliver abandoned him, his Dad kept trying to reach out via letters for fifteen YEARS. But Oliver marked every single one of them "return to sender" on purpose. He sent them all back, unopened. Eventually, his Dad stopped writing to him. In the movie, Oliver's Dad showed up in person because he knew Oliver was in a crisis. He brought the letters with him, but Oliver threw them in the trash and made even more reprehensible accusations against his father. By the time we get to this scene, Oliver knows his father did nothing wrong. His Dad did everything right and Oliver was horribly wrong about all of it. He searches for the letters where he threw them in the trash, but they're gone. He sits on the bench full of regret. His Dad has just retired and has moved to a new place. Oliver doesn't have his new address. Oliver drove him away and he has no way to reach him. He is desolate and more alone than ever.
