In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through an energizing seated HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout perfect for beginners or anyone looking to finish a great low impact workout in the comfort of your own home.
HIIT workouts are a great way to get both your heart rate up and work on flexibility and mobility. They are designed to work your cardiovascular system in intervals which is a great way to improve your air intake and longevity. Building up your "wind" improves the way your body regulates air even when we are not exercising and the benefits go on from there!
This exercise is all seated but don't let the seated part fool you! You will still get a great workout in and your heart will thank you:)
Remember to keep your water close by, take breaks when you need to and only do movements that you feel comfortable with.

Love this. Even though its sitting i felt my heart rate go up. I like the abs mixed in with the cardio.

Getting back to HIIT after a long absence. Though sitting would be easier. No kidding. Glad abs was included. My hips can barely turn. Good fun workout.

Really got a great workout on this one, and did the 15 min stretching video first. Got this retirees blood pumping, will do at least once per week (until I work up to a higher level, which I know you have videos for too. thanks for helping bring the joy of exercising back, didn't think it was possible at this age. Endorphins rule!
