Zach, I think the place where you put the fuel vent, will bring water into your fuel tank. Should be mounted lateral

Hey Zach, thank you for the video! I watch a lot of videos on KZbin, and I *always* watch them in 1.5X or 1.75X. Yours is the only one that I watch in 1.0X. I really like it. I had never heard about pontoons before, until I saw your restoration on that first one here. I don't live near the water, and I live in Brazil, so, maybe, that's why. I like the concept and I really identify with the way you do things. I think we'd be great friends in another life. Thank you and keep up the good work!

So I’m putting an offer in on a lake house, but it’s more of a pond house. But I noticed one of the neighbors had a dock, and another neighbor had a paddleboat. so I found a $500 dock and an $800 paddleboat. I might get if I get the house. Definitely influenced by you.

Looks great and I love the powder coated trim. You were right to 45 the beams on it. That hides them perfectly. I would do the floor trim section too or paint it if the cost is to much for that one piece. Why didn't you powder coat the corner radius pieces? I have loved all of your pontoon builds so far. Al of them have been great and all different but all fantastic. Great job!

Awesome, awesome build man. I think I would leave the aluminum transition piece as is. The black will absorb the heat so it will burn standing on it but more importantly, aesthetically speaking, leave the beautiful black parts to the outside trim and framing (if that is going to be your intentions while the inside will be the colors you have ie. Tans, taupe, khaki, grays, white, cement, earthy tones, etc. Orrrr, you can just do whatever YOU want, it’s YOUR boat:)! Either way, absolutely beautiful work so far! Keep crushing it!!

@FloatingFlame Жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking it out! Zach got an exclusive look at a pre--production model. The production model will be slightly smaller. Also due to safety/liability it needs to say hot. In reality the top doesn't get any warmer than what you'd expect from a normal fire pit.

Did you happen to make sure that the LEDs you bought for the pontoons were rated for out of water use? I’ve been researching some underwater transom lights and noticed many of them specifically require to be submerged for heat. I would hate for your lights to go out prematurely and have to rip the boat apart to replace them.

Unless that fire pit feels a lot skinnier than right now, it just looks like the wrong place for it. With it's hot top warning, somebody is gonna get burned. Can you say "exploding beer bottle"? Otherwise, great video as always. Thanks
@FloatingFlame Жыл бұрын
Thanks for checking it out! Zach has a pre-production model. The production model will be about 2" skinnier. It was custom designed to fit perfectly in the front of a pontoon boat. We've been using the original prototype for 6 years now and it works great. The 'HOT' call out is for the same reason McDonalds has "HOT" written on their coffee. The lawyers need to make their money. But in reality the unit doesn't get more than warm. No exploding beer bottles here lol
