I just found this video and it helped me with the setup of the ZCam E2. Sad to see you leaving for Sony but just wanted to say thanks and hopefully you will be back to ZCam in the future.

So glad I could help! I am in full swing of using my sonys now. My job has become easier but I miss the image of z cam so much! I’m looking forward to what they have up their sleeve down the road.

Yoooooo this video was so clutch man!!! So much value here. I do have to wait until I get my grip before changing all these settings because it's near impossible to change them now. Keep crushing it.
@HaydenGoldsworthy4 жыл бұрын
I definitely agree. If you want to try a cheaper route to adjust exposure, pick up a variable ND filter from Gobe. That way you hopefully won't be messing with shutter or ISO as much. You could try setting the function buttons as specific white balances too. Thanks for the kind words!
@TristanBarrocks4 жыл бұрын
@@HaydenGoldsworthy Yeah I have two eNDs on order and a couple of VNDs that I sue on the reg. My main thing is getting the grip because that will free up so many buttons. I do like the profile suggestion because it is so much better. I never thought of that. Thanks

Hey does the ZCam have a manual white balance option which you can use with a grey card to set white balance?
@jurig55793 жыл бұрын
Yes, by default you hold F3 button for 1+ second in WB manual mode and it will measure and update WB to the actual value.

Quick question, why set sharpness to weak? I did some tests and setting it to strong seems to worsen the noise a little bit, but when you expose right it definitely improves the image quality.
@HaydenGoldsworthy2 жыл бұрын
so sorry for the delay on this friend, literally over a year! You can always add sharpness in post, but not remove it :)
@CityCrimeTv12 жыл бұрын
is it currently not possible to film in slowmo with anamorphic?
@HaydenGoldsworthy2 жыл бұрын
Not in the “anamorphic” mode, but I didn’t have much issue shooting in 16:9 on an S6 and shooting slow motion. This works well since the lens is made more MFT sensors and the 16:9 in the S6 will crop in more. You’ll have a bit more vignetting and less room to work with in post for composition - but it’s great!

Hey there! I would recommend using a Sigma 18-35 :) Visit my kit (located in the description) and check out my s6 setup! I'll be making a video about my favorite lenses in the very near future.

I took your advice and purchased a Clutch, so glad I did! Thank you! This thing is amazing. I’m very new to this world, and learning more every day. I mostly shoot outside and move around a lot, so the light is always changing. With all my exposure tools available by my thumb and one finger( I have the eND ) and learning to use false color in the Zcam app, I think I’m starting to expedite this learning curve. Thanks again

Great Video Hayden thanks for this. You skipped over variable frame rates in settings and I was wondering is there an option to change frame rates by single digits so for example could I shoot 33 frames? Love to know!
@HaydenGoldsworthy4 жыл бұрын
Oh boy, I'm not too sure tbh. I think you actually can but I would prefer to shoot 48 or 60 and then slow down to a specific percentage matching the equivalent of 33fps.

I saw your Z cam screen getting dimmer as well when you lowered the ISO. Is that an issue?
@HaydenGoldsworthy4 жыл бұрын
Just noticed that! That's actually the shutter speed from that camera angle causing that issue -- nothing to do with the z cam. Good eye ;)

Really like this format of tutorial man! Great stuff. I'm interested in possibly upgrading from my GH4 to the Zcam E2 mft. This compared to the BMPCC 4k... I like the smaller form factor for gimbal purposes.

There's an android app for the camera? Also have used Zraw yet and how is the camera in low light
@HaydenGoldsworthy4 жыл бұрын
I don't use ZRAW as it doesn't fit my workflow. The camera is superb in low light -- it's the least of my concerns.
