LEE. Dude you are the man. This is one of the only, if not, the only, video I have seen directly addressing the "jittery" reviews of this gimbal and giving a detailed response and solution. Thanks for taking the time in making this video. I have my Weebill arrivng this week definitely will work with the Axis settings.
@BryanWilkat5 жыл бұрын
Lee has some good tips in here and I have yet to try his suggested settings but I can attest that a lot of people who review gear on sites like Amazon or BH don't seem to understand the importance of properly balancing the camera. Any gimbal out there will deliver shaky terrible footage if you don't set it up right, or take the time to balance your gear and in a lot of ways it's more finicky than a glidecam but if you know what you're doing you can get some really beautiful shots with either one. Some things that people don't think about is that the weight of a lens hood added after balancing or an ND filter, is enough to throw off your balance so zooming in or switching lenses also definitely requires a re-balance.

I'm just trying out this gimbal on my Panasonic LX100 and the footage is truly awful! Even standing still it is not stable. It's balanced perfectly. It looks like There's lots of judder when walking. I had the Crane M with no problems at all so I am aware of how to walk, pan etc. Will try these settings to see if it makes any difference. Thank you for posting.

Hey thanks for this very helpful video! By any chance, are the ZY Play app controls still working with your Weebill LAB? I just purchased one and the app isn't allowing for any joystick controls or control of the focus/zoom motor. I was able to update the firmware and apply your smooth settings, however. Not getting much help Zhiyun on this, unfortunately - wondering if this is a problem for others!

Hey Lee...thanks for speaking about something none of the 'experts' care to touch upon. Can you please elaborate about the values you are assigning to the motor settings- how did you derive this to be the best for your setup? I have tried the preset options as well as custom values you have shown on my Crane 3 Lab but can't seem to get rid of jitters while even doing a slow walk, trying to analyse what I might be doing wrong here. Im using the BMPCC 4k with the Tilta cage (offset to the last 1/4 screw hole closest to battery) and paired it with a Helios 58mm mounted through a Viltrox M4/3 to EF converter.
@LeeZavitz5 жыл бұрын
Shaharbin Aboobacker I assume you have it balanced perfectly? The other thing is that telephoto lenses don’t work well on gimbals bmpcc is m4/3 sensor and with 58mm lens that is like 116mm focal length. You will see every little tiny jitter no matter what gimbal you are on. Do you have anything wider you can shoot with? Crane3 can easily handle that weight you have though

A bigger smooth pan setting is better for a 10m diameter walk orbit... don’t personally use ninja walk especially in the cold it’s bad for knee joints instead use mini steps no bigger then the length of your foot to reduce bobbing...

I got one today for my A6300 and have been having a lot of trouble with the gimbal not letting me take pictures (and timelapse as a result of that). The camera focus if I hold the button down halfway but doesnt shoot if I press it all the way which is strange and annoying. I've tried searching the internet but there is zero info on that specific matter. Also I get sometimes the text "step 1" on the display which doesn't go away unless I restart the gimbal which is also strange. Very disappointing
@beyondmagicfilms79635 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video! For some strange reason, whenever I calibrate, I can see that the settings are changing real time but when I save it and turn off my phone and gimbal, the gimbal disregards the settings, I've tried 5 times, have you experienced a similar problem?
