The bow is so great and very fun/rewarding, but you gotta play around the draw time. Timing your peeks/movement more. I'm surprised its not more popular. Good vid man, nice analysis.

bow and crossbow have the highest skill ceiling in hunt, I used to hate the bow, but now that I've spent two prestiges playing nothing but it, I realized it just takes a lot more skill than any rifle ever. It's awesome.

I've said this for the last year. People either: Sleep on it. Main it. Or hate it for being a better shotgun. Personally I hate bow users in cqc. Where as I can respect long range bow users.

It’s fun, but it’s in no way “the best”. You are not killing someone with a quickdraw like you showcased in the range. You won’t kill them even at close range at full draw if they turn and you hit an arm. The slowdown you receive while drawing the arrow is horrendous. The bow requires constant quick swap cancelling and redrawing in order to reposition and ready the weapon effectively. Whereas the slate is point, click and win at the same distance with buckshot. Even further with slugs. You cannot wallbang with the bow, which automatically puts you at a disadvantage and more at risk of trading. It’s a fun weapon, and I enjoy using it when I cater my whole playstyle to being a sneaky, trapping rat. But let’s not pretend like it’s somehow better than any shotgun.

Well, ya, quick flicks aren't desirable for sure, i mention that. but if you're talking about drawing and hitting the arm, then no, it's not that simple. here's the breakdown from my testing. 5m away with a shotgun a shot to the arm will not kill a player with the slate. a shot with a full drawn bow will do 140 and bleeding, so, dead in 2s or stuck stopping bleeding for 6s. the nuance here is that players always have something in their hands, so if you hit the arm you're probably missing the body. dummies in the range have their arms next to them, so if you go in and shoot the arm from the side with a shotgun, you're still shooting the body. if you shoot the arm from the front with a slate at 5m for example, the slate won't kill and won't cause a bleed, the bow is better in this situation. coz with hundred hands it's a guaranteed kill. i agree with the rest of the differences you mention, well except slowing down when you draw, i'm not sure what you mean by that? your movement doesn't slow down when you draw you just stay at walking speed, unless u mean you want to be running when you draw 😆, you can't run when you ADS too, so i don't see that as a disadvantage for the bow. obviously my comparison to shotguns is intended to be a little spicy, i'm not saying the bow is the SAME as a shotgun, i'm saying it fills the same role with a bit more flexibility. there's still compromises when you pick either over the other.
