The Medic tree is good not for medic bags but for their skills involving reviving people. Especially at higher difficulties, having the ability to gain grit when you revive someone can be crucial especially if you pair it with last man standing, you just make it so that your revives will save people and if you pick them up before the grit breaks, you give yourself and your ally a 5 second window to GTFO of any sticky situation. Also medic's final skill of healing you up 10% and restoring a down is key since the heaviest armor reduces your downs by 1 so have the ability to heal downs is big

@@pandalm7797 basically, they are tied to armor. The lightest armor only has 1 bar of protection but in return you get 4 downs before the next down sends you to custody. Thr heaviest armor offers 4 bars of protection but you can only go down twice before being arrested the third down.

The grifter, hacker, and infiltrator decks vastly improve stealth so much in PD3. I was able to do a very hard Neon Cradle solo stealth with it. Its just good.

Unfortunately stealth in general is just too good in pd3 overkill heists as they currently stand are too easy due to how powerful you can make stealth

Tbh you don't even need most of those hell you can easily do overkill stealth for the hardest map with a pistol and suppressor that's about all you need but I do think grifter is the best while I haven't used it at all I do know that it's useful because I've read that what it does and it does seem very useful

Honorable mention: Scrounger. considering how much ammo boxes there are, it'll be so easy to get grenades back. At best times, i quite often had over 30 grenades through entire loud G&S bank, and on worst around 12. if my setup is cheap, i also add on top extra munitions for more leeway with spam and in case of exceptionally bad scrounger rng.

Scrounger is heaven bless with my recently made sniper build. When I get overwhelmed I throw a flash bang to control the situation and this skill let me have a few more through the heist. I'm running the perks that make me auto reload ammos from cops (super super useful btw) so I don't even have to bother picking up ammo to get grenades it just comes by itself.

@@brysonjohnson9396 challenges, all the challenges. touch the sky, 1st floor bathroom overkill with weapons you and skills you have not used much is the easiest way to gain xp/ip. you dont need to beat the mission. Overkill is the best since it gives alot of enemies, but on VH your chance of succeeding the mission if you want to is way higher, just dont go into the other bathrooms because of cloakers

I'd say the second skill in the ammo tree is hella good, 10% chance of replenishing throwables when picking up ammo pickups as long as you have Edge. Getting to keep using the Grenades is no joke.

It is absolutely insane. Equipping it means you no longer have to be frugal with your grenades, ESPECIALLY if you have replenish. Absolutely worth a skill point if your build can afford it

I use it with overcook flashbangs with expose, goes really hard because enemies hit by flashes have no armor and thus die fast.

The lock picking with rush is a must ! Armour build is a must in unless stealth If building armour HAVE GRIT Diving into the hacker skills some of the camera tricks are neat ! Lvl 46 🎉

I've been abusing enforcer for 100% uptime on grit and edge. Either doing the enforcer maxed build for full one man army and there's a gunslinger variant where you can just keep reloading the the one shot into your shotgun so you always do 200% damage who needs edge when you do 200% damage.

There's a skill that lets you sprint through lockpick doors if you have Rush. There's another skill where if you're near a civ in stealth you get rush. I have no idea if the door being smashed open is quiet but it seems like a fun way to do stealth comically loudly.

The skill that lets you run trough doors activates with grit edge or rush so you need one of those not just rush but it's not really that useful as you can only sprint through wooden doors

I think the perks involving hostage stuff is alot of fun, plus using hostages/swat as shields for naders or in some cases chokepoint rushes is nice as theres usually alot less gunfire going on as long as you have a human shield + makes the singal objective much easier to deal with in awkward positions during an assault

If you control most of the civs in No Rest For The Wicked after going loud and have the skills to increase the number of trades per hostage and an efficient team, you can delay the first wave until the thermite is done.

So far I’ve been running the base shotgun (Reinfeld I think?) and the Castigo with long range barrel and hardwood grip, along with other mods that benefit hipfire accuracy and damage over range. Spec into gunslinger, and there is very little need to ADS at all, giving you constant Edge lol

Scourged is always good for just about every build, even for sniper for flash and smoke incase mobs get to close. But it’s great for CQC with throwing knife as your so close that you can chain knife kills together. And if you do miss or try a bit to further thrown then you should then you can keep sticking up throwing knifes. Double turrets for both sniper (for covering your back) and CQC (for holding down extra angles) works great as well.

When I was browsing the Perks I noticed something potentially very silly. There's a perk that auto picks up ammo from the enemies you kill. Plate Up allows you to regen armour on ammo pickups. Does the combination actually function? Because if it does, it could potentially be *very* silly. I'm currently having an early morning big brain here, would this potentially mean that there is a use case for the one chunk Vest as every pickup would be feeding straight back into it?

Funny thinking on how i just made a build similar to this after getting rolled on overkill with my console buddies except i built it to where it works with stun grenades as well so in theory i have replinishing stuns and ammo with grit edge and rush constantly active and armor pen and increased dmg to stunned enemies

I honestly went for No Mercy controller build. I have turrets for area control and i have enough skills in manipulator to held off the first assault on Gold & Sharke for almost if not 3 minutes. All of this paired with some long range weaponary so i can focus on special enemies while my turrets keep at it with regular ones.

I find base escapists and the other perk that takes rush and turns it to grit also to be a nice way to generate grit since you will be vaulting over a lot of stuff and sprinting most of time to just regenerate the rush you just consumed anyways

Holy shit that social engineering skill is great, it can help with getting all from dirty ice without going loud, and can save you if a civ randomly decides to look in your direction when doing something

i still think we need a better way to gain grit reliably but other than that I'm enjoying the skill system. I think the lack of any kind of HP regen is going to cause quite a large amount of cheese in the meta until they address it

@@KILLOXY in fairness, it's because health and health-gating was abused on PD2 with each player carrying 12 first-aid kits, each of which fully healed you (without restoring "downs", though). In this, you get Manipulator to not only delay first assault by trading in hostages, but to generate an innormous amount of IFAKs where the civs were held. Also, each Dozer on Hard+ drops an IFAK upon death. But yes, health is kinda not good. Not only can you not regenerate it in any way other than getting an aid-kit (compared to armor, which has a regen-gate abusable with ammo pickups), but the healthpool is also very small. Full 4-plate vest lasts you quite a long time under sustained fire from ~3 SWAT on Hard, with about half that on higher difficulties. If you're gating your damage in any way (such as hiding) and killing enemies, gaining ammo drops using instant pickup perk, you consistently double the time under fire, as every kill you make you regen half of a lost segment by getting ammo). Health needs a separate perk deck, with overall increase of the health pool, separation of it into bars, dependent on what armor you bring (so the lighter your armor the more bars you got, to remove possibility of a full health+full armor setup getting to be unkillable), and granting boosts to when you lose enough bars of health (like, losing a bar of health grants you and refreshes existing Grit and Rush, and your next 3 headshot kills or 2 melee attacks regen you a portion of a health bar you lost, also granting you 2 seconds of invulnerability). Also, there would need to be ways of getting IFAKs from not only hostages, but normal enemies too. Maybe a perk that would guarantee an IFAK drop from Tazers and Cloakers, while giving a chance to drop one from a Shield. Maybe a perk that would allow you to pickup IFAKs from distance like how you get ammo pickups directly from kills.

Thought I should mention this: Using Tactician gives Edge whenever you stun or stagger an enemy, giving you 10% damage. Combined with Coup De Grace, grants a 5% damage bonus to stun or staggered enemy. Making a 15% damage bonus. Then if you add on Face to Face in the Enforcer Tree, you get a 10% bonus damage within 5 meters, making a 25% damage bonus. But needing both grit and edge annoyingly. So as long as you have Edge and Grit and stay within 5 meters of the enemy. You can have a 25% damage bonus.

in my opinion one of the best grenade combos that are also pretty cheap is to use overcooked and discombobulate while having smoke grenades, basicaly in case you are in a pinch, or you saw a group of enemies you can just throw a smoke grenade to them, which will explode imidiatly, not only giving the effect of cops firing less accurate but also do less dammage while in the smoke and 5s after leaving it. if you see a dozer you can throw it direcly into him, and he basicaly becomes a joke for the moment being.

neat way to get grit run cooker with throwing knives meaning you can always have grit aslong as you dont lose your throwing knives and the knives arnt a joke for damage add in infiltrator and thats rush and grit near constantly off just a throwing knife kill. want to punch your enemys again run the tactician perk and melee a enemy will also give you edge as melee counts as a stagger.

I feel thats intentional for 2 reasons: 1. It gives more of a role to ammo bag builds and 2. I find it rlly nice that at the start of a heist I am more inclined to use my secondary to gather ammo

Disagree, spawning with less ammo is intended to make the pacing feel the same throughout the heist, as you're naturally going to spend more ammo against the more heavily armored targets at the end of the heist. It's balanced to keep your ammo pool feeling about the same as you start with soft targets and move up to stronger ones.

Personally for me i run 4 persk in mower the first one as kts forced then the 2 he highlighted in the video and then the last one which allows me to reload while sprinting and with a soeed buold thats important then i have 2 points in infiltrator the first one as its froced to get the 2nd one which allows me to pick locks super fast and in heists like no rest for the wicked it really helps to get all those deposit boxes but i think i might get rid of it soon as its not really that useful i have 2 in sharp shoiter the first one amd then the 1nd one is cutting shot for extra armor penetration which is really good for dealing a lot lf damage then i have 2 in escapist the first one for free rush if i run for 3 seconds straight and the Last one for 10% increased movement speed and then i have 1 left that i switch around depending on whah i want I usually run the ak with arnor bag standard lining for the armor the aniper for the overkill weapon and i use the stryk 17 pistol

Had fun with early access but the few games I've actually gotten since launch have been awful. The worst I had was this morning with someone who just hid in a room with civilians and all they did was sit on a shelf and spin afk. Actually lost us the match because he was still spinning by the time we filled the van and we couldn't leave

I hope a future perk tree or update gives us more ways to earn grit. Edge and Rush have several good options to earn those bonus but I only found 2 with grit, 2 kills in 4m or losing an armor chunk. The armor chunk one is extra useless since it's a counter skill til the skill that regens armor with grit, since you jsut lost the chunk you wanted to regen

There's one in demolition for holding a grenade cooked for 1.5 seconds, haven't tested yet but I'm assuming you can just swap out from grenade after you get the buff. In enforcer there's the aced perk and there's the ability to refresh edge and grit with partial mag reloads.(Pro Tip: Every shotgun shell will refresh except the first(not on the DB tho DB actually sucks for enforcer but amazing for gunslinger))

I think the best are the infiltrator, escapist, manipulator and hacker. Abusing rush to allow easy stealth by bypassing cams/illegal actions and cams to control area, distract and ping guard locations and fast picking to get in and out of areas faster around patrols/cams. I can even take guards hostage and more easily shout down civs. I run lowest armor for speed and fly through the map. Note I generally play solo and I am only 28 in infamy due to servers being blah. Try out this combo, it’s strong.

CAR-4 is an AR that works well with the hipfire build. Not incredibly powerful, but it is a laser with range on it.

Seen a couple people put them on the truck in road rage, that's the only advanced stat I've seen so far, I think a lot of people have a hard time justifying bringing a turret instead of an armor bag.

They're great. Just make sure to pick up them up when you leave and pick them up and drop them to reset their heat. They have unlimited ammo and can't penetrate shields even with the +1 penetration perk as far as I can tell meaning you may need to flank shields or pop a grenade to force them to turn. Sentries shoot in a limited cone and at a limited range. I recommend the 360 angle perk to reduce blind spots in coverage and putting a sentry on either side of a doorway means shields can't block both sentries without being shot in the butt.

Its the icons that show up on the bottom of your screen. The running guy meaning rush, the skull meaning edge and the shield with a fist meaning grit.

If you wanna go demolitionist, getting the skills that turn your grenades into impact nades and gaining grit for holding a grenade for 1.5 seconds are very strong picks too

@@muchluck7981that impact-grenade skill also applies to the mamba GL, so you can just spam it blindly at a group of cops and not have to rely on the mamba’s wonky hitbox

Do i have to do these infamy challenge things to gain more skill points? Or just simply playing the game and lvling up normally with xp will give me the 21 points eventually?

You have to do infamy challenges to lvl up you don’t get xp from completing heist or doing good on a heist only through infamy challenges

idk if this actually works but the sa144 marksman with the cqc barrel deals alot of damage, and with the no damage dropoff on headshots with edge seems pretty broken

I don’t think escapist was mentioned enough it’s a great skill tree in keeping rush and edge and pretty alright for armoured builds despite it’s focus on speed

I feel like edge is way too easy to earn and keep for what it gives you. With a m308 you can one-shot everything outside the dozer and the perk that gives you ammo on kill with the perk that adds that ammo directly to your mag means you can just keep firing one-shoting everybody without reloading. Why would you ever pick a shotgun?

Yeah, but they harshly lower your ammo capacity (for…some reason? The mag is literally the same size with the speed tab in the bottom) so they’re not usually worth it. Taking skills to assist reload speeds are a better option

Under no circumstances should you ever ace Enforcer. Just pick up sharpshooter and apply edge that way. You're doing it anyways since you are taking the armor penetration.

Hard disagree. The more sources to generate edge the better on certain builds. Sometimes I don’t want to stand still for 1.5 seconds but really need edge to initiate a combo.
