Skimpy outfits>"proper armor" Why? because if i have to suffer the unrealistic bullshit that women get any armor they might as well please my eyes. Nobody would bother making armors for women because 9 out of 10 times male wins the fight so you might as well not fight and instead stay home and give birth to more cannon fodder.

i remember, after ablut 1000 hours of playing this game i decided to overhaul the combat very much like this. And on top of that i added "Deadly Mutilation", "Enhanced Blood Textures", and some mod that i don't remember the name of that, as an example, made it so that enemies killed by fire spells turned into charred boens of corresponding creature + a blood pile on the ground; Just for that extra brutal aspect to it. The bloody difference it made to the game! It actually felt like your attacks where cutting into the enemy and not just waving in the air in front of them. best modding decision i ever made with that game. I found that playing an asssassin character with a greatsword and/or bow + werewolf form made for the best, bloodiest and most satisfying combo.

It has taken me half a decade to rediscover this video and I have a simple question for anyone who can answer: At 1:10 what is the mod that gives the Frost Atronach this custom block and bash animation? I have been looking everywhere for this mod or footage of it's existence as there is no information about this online, and no search query I haven't tried so I do not ask this question lightly. I'm desperate for anything on this at this point, so if there is anyone who knows, uploader or not, you'd more than have my eternal heartfelt thanks. Having this mod would be like a wish granted for me, as without this in my game, something has always felt missing. I found this video again thanks to Whitelight's "Why Did You Love Skyrim". I remembered specifically an Frost Atronach fight atop the highest spot of Karthspire Camp, so as far as I know this is the ONLY place online where such footage of this custom Frost Atronach is and I could not find this on the Skyrim LE Nexus or the original Steam Workshop. I know that as this video predated the Special Edition of Skyrim by 3 days, I doubt it's a mod for that version. Here's hoping I get an answer, as this is a stab in the dark posting here, but at the version least I hope to find this mod and give thanks and props to the original mod author for this amazing work.
@Fevir Жыл бұрын
It was something I had made for myself when I was learning how to mod. Unfortunately I don't have it anymore otherwise I'd upload it for you. :( Sounds strange that the behaviour hasn't been done elsewhere in some other monster AI mod. Sorry I couldn't be more useful.
@DeityDiz93 Жыл бұрын
To be honest, this was on me. I failed to ask back then, when I probably had the best chance to get a proper upload; I know based on timeline that I would have got it if I just asked then. Still, don't be distraught, you have my regards and my heartfelt thanks, don't beat yourself up at all! I want you to know that here - at the end of the day, because I got the insight and answer I was after that you are 100% not useless and in fact more than can be the person I turn to. There is no worries left because now, I got to appreciate the work from the source, and actually have hope I'm operating in good faith by asking here and now about the possibility of a commission and permission, this is better than anything I could've asked for; I couldn't dream for a better response than this! Thank you so much for your work; it's captured my imagination for so many years. I really, really appreciate your answer and the insight. Your animation quality was honestly so good that it had developer quality to them, and I want you to know that it amazes me you did this while learning how to mod, and I honestly think your work would have been well regarded had it made it public/open source/etc. Know that you would have my support in any case because I was so impressed by this that it's made an impression all these years later. It's there where I'll tell you that you have an amazing knack for this kind of thing. If you ever have the chance to remake this mod, trust me when I say over the moon wouldn't be the half of it. Heck, if you or anyone are open to the idea of a mod commission to make it, I think that's the route I'd take now so all is not lost media today. Let me know if you have any interest there as I'd be happy to support such fantastic work! I won't pretend that it may still be that easy since it HAS been over half a decade, but it's such a wonderful idea for a mod that I'll at least ask, because frankly one way or another I'm going to try to see your amazing work shown here realized and honored. If your answer to making it again, incentive or not, is not something you can do, do I have your permission to ask or seek out a mod author who can make it? Of course, if you can make it still, I personally would be elated since you capture the spirit of the animation SO WELL here, yet I'm confident the mod scene couldn't have that spirit here too, but that much is up to you.

There should be a set of mods you could use to fight better in unarmed combat, be it of numerous fighting styles, all the while dodging and counter attacking and using a little bit of magic to have a balanced match with any magic using enemy. It'd make for an interesting playstyle; bringing your fists to a sword fight.

I didn't realize Skyrim SE was a thing they'd be putting on PC (and at no charge if you own everything) until I just looked it up. I've gotten into ESO recently with the One Tamriel update and had been thinking about trying Skyrim again. I bought but never actually set foot in the Dragonborn DLC. I'm planning on putting a relatively light mod list together. Things that compliment the base game. These combats mods are perfect. Fevir mentioned in the Wildcat video that a lot of mods try to add a bunch of extra stuff to the game that either don't quite mesh or aren't really used. I think this has been my problem. I try to find the perfect set of overhaul mods but ultimately they can't make the game something it's not and I end up disappointed. It's also been a while since I played Skyrim so hopefully it's fresh enough again that I won't get bored. Yeah, I wish it had more roleplaying depth (New Vegas w/ JESawyer and Project Nevada Core is my ideal) but it's still a solid game and the reality is there isn't much modern competition for a game like this.

What about chugging potions mid combat? This is the key reason why I think Skyrim's too easy, no matter what combatmods you install. I've played about 1300 hours now and this is usually the gamebreaking factor. It makes me overpowered, being able to heal up in an instant. Everything that doesn't oneshot me can and will be killed by me. There is this overhaul called "Requiem" and it features healingpotions which heal your HP over time instead of an instant. Guess something like that would be great addition to your list (not Requiem the overhaul, but a similar potionmod). Anyway, nice video, keep it up !

The dodge mod is cool but also pointless you can avoid enemy attacks if you've played skyrim long enough you'll find ways to move diagonally which moves your character faster then your normal forward or side movement. Doing that allows you to evade attack but the idea of having a dodge ability is dope nonetheless

watched about 5 of your vids so far. loving the channel. I have been playing Elder Scrolls for 15 years and I got terribly bored of Slyrim in particular for some great number of reasons but I feel the mods you have suggested may help me seriously have a better time playing this game. Now I want to ask about the Wildcat mod and how close it is to Envigor. I was playing my cousin's completely specked-out game and it had a combat mod where I, as a level 3 barbarian for obliterated by a skeleton-yes, a bone guy- h a greatsword in two hits. Was it probablty the same mod? It's the one that changes weapon damage and specific coefficients right? would you be able to show us a specific video on how best to make combat feel balanced enough while still having enemies that are too powerful for you? I feel some balance mods eliminate a great deal of the power of highly reverent enemies by making them humanlike in health and damage absorbtion. Can you also tell me anything about the Real Combat mod? What does it do? thanks

I dont see how anyone uses Wildcat's default settings. If you're able to do half of an enemies health, they stagger, and then you hit them against and if you hit the next threshold, they stagger, and you do it again and they stagger. So essentially, all enemies have half health because you can permastagger them once they reach 50%. That's assuming they dont get paralyzed or such from an injury. This also happens to you without you needing to drop low because you by default get staggered from normal hits, making combat against multiple enemies impossible because it's just a permastun fuckfest. Are the attacks of opportunity good? Yes. Is the permastaggering good? Fuck no. As a player you cant react when youre staggered for 1.5 seconds, and usually theres more than one enemy who will stagger you again during that time.

Thanks for this video. I had been clinging on to some old combat mods for a while now, but started a new playthrough with a combat overhaul based on this video, and I am having a VERY satisfying experience. I also added TKHit and TKRecoil to go along with TKDodge. It all adds a very nice hardcore weight to combat that is always challenging and interesting and never dull. Ordinator perk overhaul and ASIS make for some epic large scale fights with perks shared across all the NPCs. And no crashing or lag or such! Which is the main reason I abandoned my old combat overhaul setup and started looking around for new combat mods. And wallah---this video! :) Thanks

Sure. The only problem is that mod contributes and misbehaves with combat script lag... if you have too much going on it can make combat feel dsync'd. So before you install it- make a clean save.. try it out for a while and see if there are issues before commiting to it as you don't want to have to uninstall it on the same save.
@MetalAndor8 жыл бұрын
How do these modes behave with the new Skyrim by the way? Are modes compatible automatically or these mods have to be remade to fit the special edition?
@Fevir8 жыл бұрын
Some can be ported easily and have been.. some require a script extender which is an external resource that doesn't exist yet for the special edition. So.. the answer is.. for some mods it's very easy and so they exist already.. and for some of the more elaborate mods- they can't exist until that external resource is remade.
@heiscalledinvinciblenotinv688 жыл бұрын
the mods in your other channel will be compatible with the original skyrim right?

Yeah- modding for SE won't really be cool for a while
@tobiasgm29788 жыл бұрын
These mods seem great and all +Fevir, however most of them require either the Script Extender or the MCM menu, therefore SkyUI and therefore the SE again. Thus most of them will be useless for a very long time for the Special Edition. I hope that I am wrong and that we can use them right away, but my gut says no, can you or anyone else confirm or deny?
@Fevir8 жыл бұрын
Some, like Wildcat, will have versions that will work with SE some won't for a while. The thing is though.. that for a lot of PC players the SE edition is going to be inferior than a modded vanilla version and I imagine a lot of people will boot up the SE play for a bit and then miss old mods enough to just go back to their game unless they really want to experience straight vanilla Skyrim again.
