The BEST Sliders and Settings for Playing CPU vs CPU in MLB the Show 24. + How to Play CPU vs CPU

I've been asked many times throughout my Colorado Rockies Draft Only Franchise what sliders I am using, and so today I reveal what I believe will be the final slider set I use for the remainder of the series (with the occasional tweak still on the board).
I will also show you how to play CPU vs CPU and how to best incorporate player lock mode in this style of franchise (not perfect, but it's what we got).
Let me know what you think of the sliders, if they work for you, if I'm way off, etc. I want to hear your thoughts!

One suggestion: If you wanna watch defensive highlights for your players watching the at bats of pull hitters to the right for RFs gives you a higher probability to see them make a defensive play. So on and so fourth. Watching your pitchers that throw sinkers and change ups will lead to more defensive infield plays. I remember you saying its hard to see them make defensive plays without watching the whole game.

That would take too much time to keep track of for me just for a chance haha. I like “player lock” games because they’re quick. But certainly a good way to see some defense.

great video, any way to change the camera angle to like a normal camera on baseball games like on tv??

Do any of you CPU v. CPU players know of a way to have teams actually use pinch hitters? I almost never see pinch hitting, and I refuse to stop the game and manually go in just to pinch hit a batter.

I’ve seen a little bit of pinch hitting with these settings, but pretty dang rare. I don’t know a way to get it to be more frequent.

I got my CPU Foul Frequency down to 1 and it is still way too much, biggest annoyance and immersion killer imo.

How frequently do you see stolen base attempts when watching the full game cpu vs cpu? I’ve been messing around with some RTTS sliders so I can play the entire game and the only thing I can’t figure out is how to get my teammates to attempts steals. Huge immersion killer. Even watching the sim engine tick through at bats still no steals, only happens when I do the quick sim in between appearances. Just wondering if that’s a RTTS thing and not Franchise

@@fiendfranchise gotta be a RTTS issue then. Or maybe an issue with controlling the team itself but technically only one player. Probably going to just create a player and go into franchise and do cpu vs cpu then. Thanks!

How do you do cpu vs cpu without your controller disconnecting and pausing the game?

@@KingTwannXx It'll probably take some tweaking as the two games don't play exactly the same, maybe reduce the foul balls and increase pitcher consistency, but I won't know exactly without testing.

Yes there was lmao. TheOriginal561, me, dropped several Cpu v cpu sets on 23. Just search in the vault for them. I think 3.5 is the last set I did, just set the difficulty to All Star instead of HOF.

Would you do quick counts or normal for jumping into games

I don’t use quick counts. I tried it once and the game broke so I haven’t tried since.

@@tubby1366 that ultimately just comes down to personal preference imo. I don’t think there’s a “right” pace for franchise mode. If you find yourself giving up in franchise modes and starting again in the first 1-3 years then I’d suggest playing less. If you find yourself getting to that 4+ range and not wanting to finish out the rebuild, I’d suggest playing more.
