I'm always impressed with the level of engineering in such a small scale. I think Magic Square did announce they're doing dinobots but personally I'd love to see them do some Autobot combiners. I'd love some Technobots.

I'm not really a Legends collector but I'm loving this set so far. Hail Dinobots! Snarl might be my favorite. I love how his tail splits in robot mode and looks all cool and spikey, coming off his back.

Also, my favourite dinobot is.... several of them: Snarl, because he is quiet,understated and a FRIKKEN STEGOSAURUS!! Swoop, because he is deeply troubled by his prior history with a certain predacon (at least in the Marvel continuity) And Grimlock, because he used to answer reader's letters in the UK comics.

Great review! Mine should be arriving on Monday. He is going to look great on the shelf with the rest of my on sawmill of NewAge figures from season one and two of the G1 cartoon. Originally, I held out for the EX version. However, I wasn’t a huge fan of the dino mode color scheme. So, I cancel that pre-order and went for the tuna version. I can’t wait for the rest of Newage’s Dinobots!

I'm not a fan of, how the arms transform, why did they need to swap the legs to, then take out the hidden arms? when the arms engineering is so simple the way it is usually done

If I'm being honest... 🫤 Don't get me wrong, this guy looks fantastic! The issue for me is that NewAge's version of the Dinobots are not leagues above DX9's Dinobot offerings, and DX9's dinos came out around 6 years ago. I just looked at a video of DX9's Sludge and it holds its own next to NewAge's version, and that's in both modes. Not to mention that you could get the entire set of DX9's Dinobots for only $79.90, which is nearly the price of a single NewAge Dinobot figure!

As someone who owns both the entire set of DX9 dinobots and both of NA's available dinobots, I can assure you that the Newage versions of Grimlock and Sludge are absolutely leagues above the DX9 versions. I mean, if you're on a budget then yeah, the set of War in the Pocket Dinobots is a great value right now, but if I had to pick between the two I would much rather have the more expensive Newage toys. The build quality, engineering, paint, transformation, and articulation are so, so, so much better.

@@trennerdios I just expected more from NA... When displayed next to other NA offerings I notice a drop in quality for some reason. To my eye it almost seems as if they were made by another company. I don't know perhaps it's just this particular deco...

@@NoemadZ. I dunno what to tell you, I've got it in front of me and I think it's the best looking NA figure yet. Maybe I'm biased because I really love Sludge, but my only issue is the pseudo transformation of the arms and honestly I think the end result makes that choice worth it because he looks perfect in both modes. I certainly wouldn't pay the ridiculous $120 USD some sites like BBTS are charging, but I think the $65 I shelled out for him was absolutely worth it.
