Very interesting. Thank you for sharing your experience with this charger. Sometimes you don't have to pay a lot of money for something useful that performs well.

+The Homestead Chronicles as they say, things are much easier if one has the right tools for the job. In this case you can even save money if you use lots of batteries! And with kids,we are starting to burn through them

***** I hear ya. We use our fair share of them, too. But now with the home 12 volt solar system in place, I've installed a few 12 volt outlets for some of our battery operated devices. Many devices can use the 12 volt power directly, as you don't require the AC/DC adapter with a 12 volt solar system. This saves us a lot on AA and AAA battery requirements. But, having a good charger for portability is a good investment, too.

Did you check the mA ratings it is set for? 1000. I have 900. It says 660. I have 600. So is it set up to overcharge automatically?

Hello, Just wondering how this charger is holding up?......Also, looking at the output ratings, it would appear that it would take about 8 hours to charge 4 2000 mah AA batteries.....What kind of charging times are you seeing? Thanks!

Works great, use it every day, no idea the times though, never recorded it. It just works. I wish i had another to charge more at a time though cause it does take a while

I regularly charge my 3 AA Eneloops 2000 mah every 2 weeks for my FM radio. It usually takes around 5 hours with this charger, which I bought in 2017 and still working fine.

How many times can this charge alkaline batteries before the batteries kick the bucket
@SrOchoa7 жыл бұрын
i have one like this, the really cool thing it was that charges alcaline batteries, i had charged many cheap batteries back and used them like 3 or 4 times, till i tried to charge some Energizer that just leaked and damaged the charger since now it stops charging too soon, but it's cheap so ill just order another one, i mean is really amazing charger for the price

+SrOchoa thanks for the comment, I had no luck charging alkalines. What kind charged for you?
@Chu35057 жыл бұрын
SrOchoa Just don’t uses the charger to charges any kinds of Alkaline batteries anymore.Because all of the normal Alkaline batteries was never designed to be reuses as rechargeable batteries.That you tried to recharges any kind of alkaline batteries.Eventually it will have leaked acids on your charger and on the batteries negatives bottoms too.Even you tries to recharged many alkaline batteries that have not have any white acidic powders leaks yet.Will always all the Alkaline batteries will given you half of it power life only,if you gotten lucky.

Be very careful if you buy this type of charger for the UK as the one I got came with a non-compliant power cable which was not fused and could had gone on fire if a short occurred. I destroyed the cable that came with it and used a locally bought cable (In fact I had one that came off another device I had bought in the past). Having said all that. This is the best charger I have had in my over 30 years of using rechargeable batteries on a regular basis.

thanks for the comment. this charger is great so far, no complaints. having the individual statuses allows you to take out charged ones, leave the others in there for charging, and you know this won't overcharge them or shorten their life. well worth the money i think.

Do you recommend fully discharging batteries before charging them?
@MicahGallant8 жыл бұрын
thanks for the comment. great question. to be honest, I've not really tried longevity testing with these, given that they are the older tech, nicad, they should have memory on them so every once and a while draining them right down would be good as opposed to just using 20 % all the time and charging back up. so yes, the rule of thumb would be to every once and a while exercise them and give them a full charge up.

these are great chargers but if you dont get a signal on a battery on lcd take it out and throw it away of it will burn up and wreck that port mine only charges 3 now but i ordered another for 7 bucks its a no brainer

i want to know how do i know the amps of a battery if i want to power any electronic device intead of a power adapter. For example if a device needs 3v 0.4 A power adapter then how am i going to know how many amps two AA 1.5 v battries are going to give if connected in series? I know that in series both of them will give 3v but how do i know about the amps because all types of batteries are not having same ampere hour ratings!
@MicahGallant8 жыл бұрын
thanks for the comment. if you are connecting batteries, the device will simply consume the amperage it needs to function. you jus need to be sure that the batteries can provide enough amps that the device is looking for. How many amp hours are in a AA battery though? thats a great question, try googling that, as that will indicate how long your device will run on 2 AA's.

The replies below show why it is a crappy charger and you should NEVER buy one! How anyone can fall for this crappy junk more than once is beyond me.

thanks for the comment. i still recommend them. Still using mine today. its still better than any charger you would get from walmart or canadian tire. What do you not like about it? For the price, its way better than anything else in the price range.
