Completely understandable. Since I have my storm door in the way, I wouldn't rely on it for monitoring everything. Fortunately in my case I have another camera which captures my entire yard and door area at all times as well so the door camera is kind of just a bonus for me.

If you would like to use the chime on the door, I would recommend going with the E330 model as it has a louder speaker on board. This one makes noise, but it's not as loud as the E330 (unless you use the chime of course).

The door makes a noise from the outside when the doorbell button is pressed. Nothing on the inside except from the chime. Might be a way to play on both but I haven't checked / tried to do it.

I'm not entirely sure. However, I'm willing to bet at least 75% of all houses in have one of the cheaper model deadbolts you can get from Home Depot. As I said in another comment, 95% of the time someone is breaking into a house (if not more), they likely aren't bothering with picking a lock. Most of the time its through forced entry or breaking a window

It's not completely ideal but it works. Being able to angle the camera would 100% fix and improve the idea I think.

He probably has but almost every lock can be picked pretty easily. 95% of the time if someone is breaking into your house, they likely aren't going to be someone smart or patient enough to pick a lock. Majority of the time it's forced entry or breaking a window. For locking up your bike or motorcycle I totally get it, but for houses I wouldn't be too worried about how easy the lock can be picked.
