I've heard of that brand but never tried it. I still had Blavor regularly and love them. Hey! This is perfect IMO. The idea here is what I try to explain, solar is a last resort backup, so for your uses I think you are nailing it on the head. Get a solid power bank that can do what you are wanting through the week and charge it at home. The nice thing about something like this is if something catastrophic happens and you are without power, you have the potential to not have a dead phone.
@seacoastview72534 жыл бұрын
CLEARLY you know what you're talking about and it's a good video review but i would have liked to see some testing comparisons that backs up your opinion. it's only "the best" if it's primary function (charging!!) is superior to others on the market. low light charging comparisons, how long it holds a charge, etc. we have frequent power outages so i'm curious how long it holds a charge and some facts behind your opinion. perhaps the LED light would be handy but honestly i could care less about the compass.... which totally seems like a novelty. any hiker or camper has a real compass with them. Plus, FYI... your amazon Links are dead ends.

It is water resistant so rain and whatnot should be ok. However using it for something like a wyze cam wouldn't work very well. The reason being is that once the battery is full on the wyze cam the power bank would automatically go back into sleep mode and need to be woken up by plugging something in or pushing the button. This really isn't designed to be a battery backup for any type of system like that that would need extended charging from time to time if that makes sense

Right on! I still use mine daily so I can say it does work well. Hope you like it!

Thanks for the great review‼️ This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I want it for vacation/travel. We are usually out on excursions all day recording video and taking pics on our phones. The last time our phones died in the middle of the ocean while deep sea fishing and we missed all the action...

This is the perfect power bank for that!! Glad this video was helpful 😊

What I'm looking for is a power bank for my bugout/survival pack. One that is capable of charging not only phones, etc. I've a 1W/3W 450nm handheld (blue) laser and a 532nm green laser for emergency signaling and firestarter. A solar power bank with an output of 5V/3A is needed. Any recommendations, sir?
@JDubb4 жыл бұрын
Hmm that's a tough one, I think it could power it but not sure how long

@@JDubb just to recharge the handheld laser. Not for continuous operation, Because of heat buildup its 60sec on max., 60sec off to cool down minimum. Intermittent use, for fire starting, emergency signaling (S.O.S) flashing on high setting, varmint deterrent on low setting. I think the solar power bank can do it. One should never totally deplete a rechargeable power supply. Again, your review is most helpful, more so than more than several I've viewed, thx.

Seems a lot of employees comment on how great it is. It’s a heavy battery that won’t solar charge. I’m not the competition, this thing doesn’t perform as described.

I've had nothing but good experiences with mine. All features have worked as expected so far. Have you contacted them about potentially having a defective unit?

@Dennis Love even If if worked ifs I'll efficient and unprofitable as there legit folding solar generators like big blue.

I still use my Blavor you see in the video as my main power bank. I don't have a ton on hand so it just does the job on all counts TBH

I want to have a solar power bank to use for camping, backpacking or if I get lost in the forest😂.
@dennisw81664 жыл бұрын
Probably charges faster(with solar) when the phone is shut down. The background running apps make it harder to charge I'd think. Right?
@JDubb4 жыл бұрын
Solar charges the power bank not the device plugged into it directly

Hey brother cool video. I was curious if you'd be able to do a real life test with that bank? I.E. 15min charge for different devices in and out of sun and possible see how long it takes to charge in sun. But i would use it for outdoors. I have an outdoors channel and do A LOT of filming away from any electrical outlets lol.

I should do a follow up video for this... Stay tuned! 😊

Mine isn't charging my s9 plus after putting it under the sun for a long time and I plugged in my phone and it did not charge my phone whatsoever :/ I just got it a couple days ago.how do I charge it if I can't charge the bank with the sun?
@Primalxbeast4 жыл бұрын
You can charge it with a micro USB cable. You can buy a separate portable solar panel if you actually want to charge it using solar power.

I love how all the youtube videos they posted have comments turned off. Also they brag about 20,000 milli amps... aka 20 amps, why not just go further and say 20 trillion pico amps?
