I want kind of a winter forest map. Light snow everywhere, evergreen trees, maybe a big creek running through with parts frozen that you can run across instead of bridges. Maybe a couple cave systems as named compounds instead of just farms and stuff. Old cabins and cottages, stuff like that.

Hard rain map like left for dead 💀...more bountys like leach guys but different skins and out by the rivers with an air boss like a flying one made out of bee hive lady bees and a group of dead bodies ..kinda like the sympathy of the night corse bodies ....really the just need to look at the beastry of castlevania sympathy of the night copy and change them to a hunt showdown a.i and change them add them in game

What if they took a map of New Orleans from the time period of the game and based a map on a corner of the city. Like a sort of quarantine zone, burned out buildings or even whole burned blocks, tons of roof and interior access, with a bit of a swampy region in one of the corners

The majority of FPS players prefer a modern setting with guns that fit it. I am not in the majority. I prefer the aesthetic of old weapons when gun designers didn't know what was most effective. In the mid to late 1800s there was no tried and true formula to emulate/duplicate every time they made something new. The guns back then were just less boring, plain and simple

I do agree people like modern guns more but what I love about Hunt is every weapon even ones very similar to each other feel very distinct and different in their own ways.

I think a lot of the modern guns in FPS thing barrels down to the fact with modern guns, you have attachements that players can use to gain advantages over others (like thermal sights) while older guns (like whats in hunt) barrels down to can you use the weapon effectively. Older guns require more skill to use in FPS than modern guns IMHO.

When you were talking about new maps/bioms I think that old Australian desert would fit perfectly with the same atmosphere. Then they could add Ned Kelly styled hunter skin.

It's a strong loadout but my go-to solo Winfield secondary is a hand crossbow so I can be efficient in close combat without having to buy levering (which is fun, that being said). Plus, poison clouds to prevent Necro / self rez is hilarious

Live of a Hunter is maybe the best way to show the game to interested people. You see quite dry whats going on. You get an idea that the entry in the game could be hard and you need to like the whole atmosphere to stay.

Handbcrossbow with half poison is a great sidearm instead of the silenced nagant, especially if you don't have levering

Hey Mike, I might be wrong but aren't placing the traps incorrectly? Shouldn't you place the Concertina Trip Mine then the poison (towards where they will walk)? So they first take the concertina and then the poison. I heard that the other way around made it not 100% lethal. Obviously it depends on which ways they will walk on the trap but it looks like you're doing it wrong multiples times (Here for example 31:54 or 33:14 ) Just to be clear, you're much more experienced than me but I thought I could remind you of this! Style points for the night terrors Thats my fav Winnie skin. I d argue the aperture is prolly the best. High Velo + Iron Repeater + levering + steady aim = comfortable at all ranges and deadly With that you can have any sidearm you want.

honestly, regarding the discussion you were having about guns in games (i suppose), personally I like the old ones better. But the problem is with hunt at least how the gun feels like. Example: if I play Tarkov and use a Moisin Nagant it feels so natural to swing the weapon around, to aim with it, whilst in hunt with all the guns it seem really rigid. But that is just my opinion tho

One build I found a lot of success with is full on poison smoke build. Specter/any semi auto shotty Crossbow with poison and reg. Bolts. Knife, medkit, traps Then hp shot, poison shot, and 2 poison bombs. Just poison up the whole place and you walk around fine. Probably only good in 4 star tho.
