Just try to focus on what your opponent is doing and learn from him (if he is a good player) and try to take note of the rounds, rounds are important. for instance you need lead detection on R10 or else your opponent can easily kill you. Round 12 you need Camo and Camo Lead detection, so some strategies will not work just because of the fact that lead/camo lead detection is too expensive (like Farm Ace Glue)

Keep grinding and playing games, upgrade your towers to max as fast as you can. A lot of people all out on Round 13 in lower arenas so always be ready for that, if you defend it’s a guaranteed win almost every time.

A strat I love to do in lower arenas in speed is get 2 2-2 wizards and 1 3-2 ninja and before my rush I'll put down 3 glue on the track I'll wait until the new round starts sell all my towers send regen rainbows and quick shot it and most of the time the opponent cant counter it.

One of my start is bomb boomer wiz if you have water placement replace the boomer with buccaneer i usually rush at round 13 unless they have a tack then moab camo ceramic then rainbow regen

Another OP strat is boomerang (upgraded to bionic boomer), Village (upgraded to radar scanner and banana farm.

For Mid-Game it is good, but the lack of stalling is a major weakness and the Boomer falls off in the late 30's. It can also being annoying to properly allocate funds between the Village and Banana Farm early game

*Use Lots of Glue power.* log is meta and its better than glue storm and spike storm and lightning bolts. *Go top row for Tower Powers* Pop boost is a T3 and its better than any other tower power excluding Damage boost, which is the top row T4. *Try to get used to every single tower upgrade.* You will need to know what can defend and what cant defend against certain rounds, so if you are not sure you may end up overdefending when you could have put a lot of extra money into farms. *Learn tower abilities* Abilities are always on the right side of the upgrades paths. Abilities can be the difference between a W and an L. *Pay attention to rounds* Round 10 you need lead detection, R12 you need camo and camo lead detection. R13 you need to be extremely prepared for a rush because most newer players always all-out r13.

If so, how do you get the single menu for switching between bloons/towers instead of the double menus that you have to open/close all the time?

A couple questions. What does popping power tower mean? Is it like your main tower that is supposed to do the most damage or something? And why do you want to make your opponent upgrade? I just don't get it.

Popping power tower just signifies the tower can pop towers so thats basically every tower besides farm. You want to make your opponent upgrade so that they spend money on their defenses rather than ecoing/farming. hope this helps! :)
