"Techie Question" It looks in the videos that the "Superium" range of poles that the joint overlap on the sections seems to be shorter than on any previous range. Is this correct and if so by how much and does it weaken the joints because of it?

Would like to own a good pole or whip but at them prices to much for me. Have to get permission to spend £50 on a whip and that didn’t go down well. It dose not matter I’ve always got my wish list. LOL

Does look like the X30 has a slightly faster taper than my X Carp. Must be on a different mandrel as the butt sections look thicker.

Yeah, i guess thats because carp poles normally live from "not being that fast" as it prevents cracking

It is a different taper, the top kits and no3 are the same mandrel but different from then on down. The X50/70/90 are the same mandrel as the Carp. It's to keep top-kit commonality through the range.
