this show bothered me for so many reasons lol. for one they’re all way younger than it seems like they should be which just makes it impossibly frustrating to watch as someone who’s… not even that old (late teens). the whole dynamic between belly jeremiah conrad is so obnoxious because they’ve grown up practically like cousins yet she’s into both of them and can’t make up her mind which just causes harm to everyone (not even to mention cam-the fact that she left him for someone who’s basically a cousin-figure to her was simply infuriating). belly does almost everyone in the show wrong at some point in time which makes her a horribly unlikeable protagonist. and the S1 ending was incredibly frustrating-the one time this show managed to make me feel some sympathy, when they made it seem like it was actually going towards a sad ending, they just *turned it around* for no good reason. i went into this show hoping it’d be a fun lighthearted summer adventure, not a load of middle school drama, selfish characters, and tricking the audience
