Matt it has a duramax not a cummins and it is the most serviceable because it is a chevy/freightliner chassis so you can bring it into any chevy/gmc/freightliner dealership for service

Three things I like: 1. Absolutely LOVE the theater seating! Thank you for that!!! 2. Great storage in the bedroom. 3. Seems very spacious and plenty of room to move around in the living area. Three things I don't like: 1. TV placement. I don't want a crick in my neck from watching TV!!! 2. I am not a dinette person. I wish there was an option for either a table with chairs or a desk. 3. Again with the outside storage doors that open up???? WHAT!!!! I'm not 21 any longer. I'm older and chubby and have bad knees!!! Doors either need to come all the way up and be held up with a magnet or latch, or swing to the side!!!

A couple of years ago, Nexus said they were correcting the exterior doors so they'd open to the side instead of up. Web site pix STILL show them opening UP. BIG RED FLAG!

For this high price rv , they should redesign the cabinets in the bedroom so they can put in a stackable washer and dryer- very important. Also, unhappy there are no solar panels on the roof.

I agree that it should have solar. But bathroom is not big enough to fit washer and dryer even with different cabinets. Also the cheapest new RV in my area that has washer and dryer is a $500k class A. So I don't expect this RV half the price to have one.

Add a televator instead of the swivel tv mount, give us some drawers in the kitchen and WTH?? Why are we not getting side open slam latch doors? Boo! Also, please add solar to the roof. For this price point, all of this should be standard. Like the theater seats, the fact that it's a 4x4, and how quiet the diesel is. Way out of our price range, but an interesting effort. We look forward to seeing a production model.

I really like this RV, but I wish it had three things: 1) exterior storage doors open like the ghost RV, not upwards. I hit my head with these. 2). Put a TV on a televator behind the dinning table. It's current placement is horrible. 3) no washer/dryer.

I just delivered a 2021 Nexus Rebel to a dealer and drove it over 1000 miles. 3 things I liked: 1. Good power with the diesel engine. Handled mountains, while towing a car with NO problems. 2. Interior is nice and comfortable, when stationary. 3. The paint job is absolutely beautiful and eye catching. Got a lot of compliments, when stopping for fuel. 3 things I dis-liked (stopped at 3, because that is what you asked for). 1. International CV chassis is a truck, and it drives like one (terrible turning radius and extremely rough ride). 2. Right side view mirror is useless. I had only about an 1" view of the entire side, as the body and awning arm covers 90% of the mirror view. 3. The dual tank filler is wonky. Supposed to be 25 gal front and 40 gal rear, but when filling it from 1/8 full, either filler would only take about 38 gals total before splashing over and the gauge would read roughly 7/8 full. Keep in mind, this is my view from simply driving the unit for several days. I do not use the RV portion and thus can't relate to it's "livability" however, I can comment on it's "drivability", fit and finish, and appearance.

Suggested small improvement, we are buying a 4x4 and expect to go further backcountry than ‘normal’ rvs... that said its not going to be rock crawling but since it will be on more uneven surfaces things are gonna shake and rock a bit more inside... heres the thinking.... put some secondary restraints inside the cabinets /drawers/cubboards, like bungee netting or something so that when you DO open things the contents will likely have shifted and will help keep things from falling on your toes... small touch, big effect.... Second thing is the rear ladder... put a hinge on the lower part to be able to fold it up for better rear departure clearance... thats gonna hit as it sits now... i see ya already slanted rear box to address some departure clearance... Love this unit overall tho....

I miss Andrea ( no offense, Will), and found myself saying “be careful, Matt!” when you were climbing that ladder! I love the bedroom pocket door instead of a curtain or acccordion, the backsplash (sorry Matt) and quiet engine (my teeny tiny Tacoma is louder!) Dislikes: the sea of brown, the valences , especially that silly little band over the door-a small band of faux wood molding to encase the shades would look SOOO much better. How about offering some real color? A dark red leather to match the (one more like) gorgeous paint would be killer!

Induction Cook Top is a must, Convection Microwave is a must because then you can delete the regular oven and in it's place add the Fisher Paykel drawer style dishwasher. I know my wife will not even consider a unit without a dishwasher, silly I know but after 27 years I've learned to not talk her into compromise on some things it just isn't worth it in the long run. I love that you've added the Slam Latch Doors and enclosed wet bay as both are a must IMHO. Also enough Solar with a big enough inverter and battery bank to run the whole unit with soft start ACs should at least be an option on these or have them at least wired for it from the factory. Especially since a Rig like this would be perfect for Boon Docking. Every unit in this price range or even a little lower should have the Cord Real installed as even the 30amp cords are heavy and hard to deal with at times. As I've said it should be a 50amp setup on these units always. These videos are old but I just couldn't help myself and had to comment. I would also love to see this Diesel Chassis/Engine/Transmission setup offered on other units even without the 4x4 feature. Oh and possibly offer this style without the front bunk and instead more front storage with a larger TV center mounted that is on a swivel. Beautiful unit and I at least can tell you're listening to your perspective customers and working towards what will be a show stopper in the industry...

My Likes: Absolutely LOVE the regular oven Overhead bunk ( I would use it for lightweight bulk storage (needs privacy screen not curtain) The bathroom (shower door needs to be stiffer & self-cleaning) DisLikes: Under counter kitchen storage - everything below counter height should be a drawer The hanging part of the wardrobe - the bar and hanging space should continue on behind the TV Outer storage compartment doors should be side open/close Make the wall art at the entry dual purpose and add storage behind it Give an option for a dinette or credenza - TV placement near bunk - add a foot long drop-down feature on the arm so that it is better for the theater seating Add under bed storage Power cord reel More 110 and USB outlets Carpet under the dinette - no carpet at all

Very nice of Nexus to allow you to video the first model. Can't wait for a video review on the 35r model when it comes out. I hope Nexus is reviewing the comments left by all, and will make a few changes for the 35r model. So here are my 3 Likes: 1. Thanks for the video. Dislikes: 1. I agree 100% on the power reel. No one wants retro fit the RV with it. 2. The backsplash has got to go. It takes away from the cool paint job which is utterly amazing. Please take the counter top and run it up to the base of the cabinets. 3. Finally the TV needs to be behind the banquet on a lift that raises it in front of the window - get the biggest TV that will fit. TVs and Toilets are dealbreakers for my husband. Loves: 1. The length - 30’ is perfect 2. 4X4 3. The bad a** paint job. 3. The layout 4. The bed over the cab - perfect for teenagers

Just purchased the Rebel 30R and love it! Pulls our Jeep gladiator like it’s not there. Interior build quality is far better than the Thor Chateau we just traded in. Power in the mountains is now no problem....which was a big reason to get rid of the class-c V-10.

Really nice... but needs the following: 1) Solar Panels to augment power usage when parked. 2) Move the TV by the dinette side window. Grants great sight-lines while eating and relaxing. Few people actually want it in the overhead bunk. 3) (Only because it isn't mentioned in the review): Needs power outlets in the nightstand by the bed for CPAP users or other equipment people might need through the night.

@@lindakurman8642 It is Diesel Exhaust Fluid. It is a part of the exhaust aftertreatment to help lower emissions. It is better if it is on the drivers side because if you get diesel at a truck stop the DEF hose is on the drivers side. You can buy DEF in bottles but it is way way cheaper to get it at the pump.

Hey Matt, the International 6.6 diesel engine in the CV platform is not a Cummins, it's a GM/Izusu sourced engine. In other words, it's a Duramax, which is why it's so impressively quiet compared to the Cummins engines you're used to hearing. Also the transmission is an Allison 1750, not 2000.

I forgot to add that I wish they’d give you the option to have a washer and dryer in all models. My husband spent 25 years in the Marine Corps and is now working a civilian job but when he really retires in about 5 years we want to travel around and see the country for months at a time. I’d rather have less closet space than haul laundry to a laundromat. I’d love to see the option for a composting toilet to eliminate that black tank and for dry camping. Also, I’m curious why there’s no under bed storage?

👍 Smashy, after a busy week y'all sound tired and a bit punchy, don't think it's just inhaling the Diesel/DEF fumes in the garage. L: cockpit, chassis and quiet engine (drove a Ram 5500 bucket truck for a year, the largest I ever drove, first time similarly smooth and quiet); nice kitchen and appliances, oven!; good storage and great towing capability. Matt the Rebel looks pretty good but: 3 things I do not like; 1. I would not purchase any motor home that has storage doors that I had to crawl to get into. the doors need to open horizontally instead of vertically. 2. Additionally I am a stickler for having the TV directly across form the seats. 3. Keep that tiny over and put in a convection microwave. Likes: 1. Quiet Power and safety of the Super C 2. Great full body paint 3. Ability to get into and out of cab without crawling

I love American RV's chaise, space and power! but the interior looks unchanged from 70s. KZbin recommends RV videos from Europe. Their interior design is more modern, and utilize space more efficiently. if you can pass customers feed back to manufacturers, please let them consider borrowing some design ideas from there.

I agree the interior colors/decor could be improved. Looks like a 1970s RV on the inside. Also why not stainless fridge and micro. Looks cheap with the black. Shower door also looks to be cheesy and problematic I would not buy it for those reasons. Also why not use the firefly system in 2020? Propane tank compartment should have a mesh floor so you can stir oil, def, etc. why is the def fill not in a lock compartment? I would worry kids would take the full cap, or drop rocks in the tank.

This one looks great overall. Given its 4*4 and has a ton of capacity for tank sizes, putting in solar would increase the appeal for people going off grid. Giant roof that can possibly do a lot of solar ;)

Nice super C. Couple of things... needs a 50amp cord reel. Can you swap the over cab bunk with an entertainment system to get rid of that bad TV angle? Did not see interior with slide in so assuming you can get to bathroom, but it looks like it would be very tight. Needs induction stove top (make it an all electric coach?), could not tell from Will’s camera angle but looked like it did not have night stands so no place for a CPAP. Even though it’s a super C, it is way too expensive for the interior features and the fact that it is a GM 4500/5500 equivalent. Thanks Matt and Will

I would love to see an adjustable height suspension as an option, it would pair nicely with the 4x4 capability when boondocking off the beaten path. Having the ability raise the suspension (on demand) an extra 4-6 inches would be ideal.

I would like to see a macerator pump, don't like the outside doors that require crawling underneath, hate the TV position, it should be across from the theater seats with the option to have a really large one , like 60" TV there. Also I miss the washer /dryer. Don't like the backsplash design and could be higher in the bathroom. Is there a King bed option ? I love the 4x4 and the chassis , and the overall safe and quality construction. Would like to have a dinette that is not a dream dinette with the structure underneath that disturbs the legs while seating as we are very tall.

Thanks Matt for this SuperC review. 5. things don't like: 1. Seems no active or passive driver safety...like mobile eye or other driver awareness safety like features, 2 no solar. 3. Not 3k inverter, 4. No lithium batteries, 5. Dark cabinets ( studies demonstrate people from the Midwest like earthy tones where people from the West prefer lighter. but in the US everything is dark in RVs. One has to go to Canada or Europe get something bright cheerful) 3 things I like: 1. 4x4, 2. Length 30ft, 3. CCC, 4. Towing capacity.

Very nice rig. Technically it's a Silverado 6500 HD Chassis cab with International badging. it's a Duramax (L5D) engine. I believe it is built (Chassis cab) at the GMC plant in Pontiac Michigan. As for as towing specs, I would recheck that 15,000 tow rating with the trans they are using, it maybe near the 10,000 rating, if that.

Love the passion of the owner, I hope they follow up like that after the purchase. LOVE this motorhome. Don't like that is has no washer /dryer and no King bed, TV location is horrible, put a 60" TV across from the theater seats, I don't need the cabintets or the window or use a projector, just be innnovative. Other than that is is what we were looking for but there are 2 deal brakers , the washer/dryer and King bed. Would love to have a macerator pump. Love the large black water tank and the way they divided the sizes, this makes the most sense. It is possible to store bikes in the pass through ?

agreed, the washer/dryer is the deal breaker for us too , and it is possible to have them in a 30ft motorhome, let's hope they copy the floorplan from other manufacturers or get creative themselves, it is not that hard, switch out the bed with the closets in the slide, then you have a walk around King and a washer/dryer on the other side like Thor did in their Quantum KW29 which is THE BEST class C floorplan I have ever seen, if THor had a better build quality I would have bought that one in a heartbeat as I really love the floorplan

Is there electrical outlets in the cupboards over the bed? Why don’t they hang the tv from the ceiling where it could lay flush to the ceiling during travel or when someone is in the bunk? Agree on the electrical reel. Good outside storage for the size RV. Nice quiet.

Have to agree on the storage doors - either open from the side or all the way up or to the side- love the amount of space. Love 2 air conditioners but also like to have to maxi fans - not everyone is at a park. All rv’s need solar panel hook ups- pretty much should be already on it at that price with solar batteries. Want more windows for air movement and views.

Nice but, swing up doors on exterior compartments, tv over the bunk instead of the dinette and no driver or passenger armrests are a deal breaker. Cpap access above the bed would be a plus. We are really looking for something like this. We love that it’s short, diesel, high off the ground, true recliners, 4x4. Would love to see solar pre wire on the roof as well.

I really like the Nexus quality and owner devotion. This model is a little small for my liking, but it packs a punch! My likes and dislikes: Likes: 1. Engine and ease of access. 2. Outside looks great. 3. Towing capacity. Dislikes: 1. Over cab cockpit makes me claustrophobic. Hard to get into. 2. TV should be on a televator. 3. Backslash in kitchen and that little plastic piece designed to keep things from falling off the counter...cheap looking. Thank you!

Nice RV and looks like it's well thought out in general. I'd say the kitchen needs some drawers for silverware, cooking utensils, and the like. It also needs a place to store some food - a pantry of some kind. A pat on the back to the first RV manufacturer to provide a convenient place to store the sink covers!

My wife and I really like the Nexus line. That being said, the deal breaker for me are the exterior storage doors. If they either opened all the way up, or out, that would be great. Only opening halfway is impractical, and annoying. It also means I'm looking at something else.

I love the Nexus product! I love that they use steel in their construction! I love that they heat the tanks so you can camp year round or full time! I love that they listen to customers! I love that they keep their price point low! I hate how small their bedrooms are! I’d rather have a campsite slide to get a bigger bedroom that I can comfortably dress in. I’ve been trying very hard to sell my husband on this brand because I feel you get a lot of quality for the price but he hates the bedroom. He said he’s not spending $150k to be cramped in the bedroom. I love the size of that overhead bunk but I don’t like that it doesn’t have windows for light and ventilation. It feels like a cave.

Perfect coach IF the cargo doors opened out like a traditional door instead of up. It would be so much easier to access the cargo compartments without bending as much or hitting your head. Looking forward to the front sleeper area windshield and a GM chassis/cab to go with the Duramax / Allison combo. Great job-looks amazing and well designed!

I don’t like that the passenger seat is not power, no storage under the bed, and the outside storage door open up making it hard to access and no side cameras! Love the color of paint, love two acs, and the bathroom. ❤️❤️❤️ miss Andrea!

3 things I love I LOVE how quiet it is when the engine is on I like the sliding door to get into the bathroom...so when slides are closed you can use the bathroom comfortably I love the frosted glass on the door...gives a sense of privacy but allows natural light in. 3 things I dislike I HATE the shower door I don't like the interior colors (This one is speculation) it seems ..and I can be totally wrong, that with the slide in, it might be a little tight and can't tell if you can access the fridge comfortably and the bed)

I love that it's a 4x4 and it's a good length, not too long. I think they've put more thought into the colours and details on the outside than on the inside. I dislike the old-fashioned drab interior. It looks like an expensive exterior and everything looked cheap on the inside.

been watching your videos for a week now. First thing I notice, there's really no place to put a coffee maker. Wish they could build one in the overhead cabinet or something. Could put it behind the sink but that popup plug is there taking up all the room!

Love this RV. Especially the four-wheel-drive call mom 15,000 pound towing and theater sheets. I’m glad you’re thinking about adding a window to the cab over and side cameras. It would be great if the dinette was bigger which would require a deeper slide out.
