The Spanish Tarot was my introduction to the Tarot of Marseilles, & has become my very favorite deck of all. There is nothing like that rich tapestry of color & meaning created by laying out several cards in a spread.

I have both Fournier decks and I love everything about them. The card stock has a superior feel. I love the dimensions. They are perfect for my small hands. I go back and forth between them because I love them both so much. I also adore the Burdel tarot you featured. Mine is the Lo Scarabeo Universal Tarot de Marseille. The court cards on the Spanish Tarot and the Universal TdM are great for readings because they have such expressive and interesting faces. Now I shall have to obtain the Swiss deck. The only Swiss steak I have seen is the IJJ which substitutes Juno and Jove for The Popesse and The Pope. Those pip cards are absolutely exquisite. Thank you so much for this review!

this was really good.... but i wish you would have PAUSED on the cards with people so we could really see the differences in the styles, expressions, etc. or pulled one of each deck and showed them all together. i really felt that was missing and it's what i really needed. but everything else was fantastic and i learned a lot and what to look for in different decks now like the backgrounds or the swords vs batons, etc. thanks!

Honestly, most of the Conver TdMs are so similar that you can use any of them, but although it's true that the Grimaud is great, I find the one by Artisan Tarot richer in nuances.
