I watched both videos that touch on the worst and best times to publish. Thank you for sharing this information. I wasn't aware of this and I think this will be very helpful for other aspiring writers. I have a random writing-related question. What genres do you typically write in (i.e. fantasy, sci-fi, etc.)? I primarily write nonfiction books (autobiography/memoir, business/personal development, and company/community histories) as a ghostwriter and collaborative author, but I'm also working on a passion project of my own, which is a WWII historical fiction novel.

@mythiclore5508 Thanks for watching! I didn't address all the subgenres since there are literally hundreds of them. The goal of the video was to give you some ideas. The best way for you to know when to publish is to get to know your readers. Readers tend to buy at different times and in different places due to a variety of factors. And know, too, that when you launch your book isn't nearly as important as actively marketing your book pre, during, and post launch. 😉

@@dalenebickel I work in online marketing, so I'm set on that front. I've not seen anyone speaking to timing for fantasy, other than macro buying patterns.

Thanks for the info. This was a topic I've never seen on KZbin before. Kudos for that! May I suggest however, that you do some adjusting of your lights? It looks like you have a ring-light aimed at your face. The reason I know this is because it's constantly reflecting off your glasses. Very distracting! I'm no expert, but you might try moving the light to focus on the side of your face, or you might just try a more diffuse type of lighting.

You're using a terminology I've never heard before. Q. What are Q1, Q2 etc?

@michaelstill5184 My apologies for not clarifying it in the video. This is how companies represent the quarters of the year. Quarter one (Q1) is January-March. Q2 is April-June. Q3 is July-September. Q4 is October-December.
