Great student human and great Frenchie. 🌷 I hope the breeders and designers figure out how to improve the breathing part for that breed and to not continue to bring in more dogs with such health deficits. I mean, all your life having to struggle to breathe is miserable. Cesar is the best! 💗💗

this video shows that no matter what kind of animal you want to buy (or adopt), you should always acquire knowledge BEFOREhand. This applies not only to food, but also to training. Too many emotions turn everything in the wrong direction. It makes me so happy to see how quickly Catherine implements clear instructions and quickly notices the success. So, well done everyone

Exactly! 👍 Also, it's so important to not choose dogs just for their looks. People need to read up on different breeds' characteristics too.

@@MrGrumpyGillsthankfully my family never looked for a dog based on looks, though we haven't had much luck when it comes to dog breeds. 2/3 dogs we've been told was one breed, and only one has been partly true but thankfully the breeds that they do have don't have any aggression problems/issues or things we knew we couldn't handle within a dog

French bulldogs are bred from the English bulldog. People think oh look they look so funny and sweet but forget they were initially bred to fight bulls . So that sweet little face is bred to kill a bull . Never underestimate your dogs breed . Research don’t buy a dog for looks buy a dog for personality. Research,Research, Research

I had a French Bulldog, the best dog in the world for children. It was amazing how much he loved kids and played with them. But with other dogs, oh my god hahaha-the bigger the opponent, the more excited he got. Even if a Great Dane showed up, he would try to jump at its neck. I put in a lot of effort to calm him down, tried all of Cesar’s techniques, and he improved a lot. The problem was that he wasn’t just mine. My dad, my mom, and my sister would undo all my training hahaha. I miss him so much. Forever in my heart.

as having a Merle french bulldog, people really need to think about it when purchasing one. we watched so much what ours ate and watched how he jumped around knowing the problems that can happen with them. Ours had so much energy, great with our kids and they just loved him. He was 3 years and 4 months when he past, he had lost all movement on his back legs from one day to another, he had spinal disease. He was such a great dog but there is so much you have to watch out on this breed, plus there a vacuum and really have to clean anything around. My suggestion if you want to own a French bulldog, don’t get Merle one and get a traditional color french bulldog from a really good bloodline and hope yours doesn’t start having problems

French bulldogs are the nemesis of my jack russel. 50 meters in front of a French bulldog he immediately becomes tense, regardless of whether something is wrong or not. The French bulldog doesn't do anything and he can't control himself. There were no negative incidents, that was the case from the beginning. That was also the case with the two deceased Jack Russells before.

Shouldn't the dog somehow be secured in the car? In my home country it's not allowed to just let dogs sit on the (back) seats, you have to install a dog barrier in between the front and back seats or put them in the trunk of the car. If the driver has to put in the brakes very suddenly, a dog - just like a kid - could turn into a "projectile" and hit the windshield from behind, which can be deadly. Aren't there similar laws in the US? Genuinely curious.

The French bulldog is the worst for being territorial and for guarding. So many people think it's cute because they have such cute personalities but it's not. The rescue I volunteer with has so many Frenchies because of people who have allowed that behaviour and their dogs have turned around and bitten other people or dogs. This breed is one that you need to be strong and determined if you want to have it... As Cesar says himself.

Not to mention boston terriers😱 They also people get because they're cuteee.. But they can be a compact border collie/belgian malonius WHITOUT the fear. So people: they are NOT a coach potato who educate theselves to be perfect cuddle buddies okay? Use their brain and muscles in a safe way. Then its the best of the best companions.

@tredjesongen Funny, I had a Boston Terrier who was what I call the universal dog. He accepted every dog that came into my house when I was a dog walker and pet sitter, as well as a foster for a rescue.Mind you, I don't think he was 100% Boston - I think there were some English bulldog in him, but he was about 80% old-fashioned. Boston Terrier - he weighed 30 lbs. right up until he became sick in his last year. He was the best dog I ever had but yes, I did train him and I never babied him nor let him think he was the boss over me.

@@melodieramsay655 Tfs. Mine came from russia. Even with only champion lines they are landmines. They dont bother to breed away fight and IQ. And they are good at avoiding inbreeding. Thus spunky with a temperament and intelligence that scares me. Had working dogs in my work earlier and after the injury I opted for small easier breed. My a...!😄 Now one is a cadaver dog ,one is my ears and eyes patroling our woods and shore. They have to be stimulated. And yes best dogs ever had. One lost yrs ago were visiting dying people in a hospice. That was my soul dog. She knew exactly who when and where to visit all by herself.

I have a frenchie and this is accurate. He’s fine with other dogs if they come over to our place but he’s so reactive towards other dogs when we go on walks. The other dog owners a lot of the time giggle and think it’s cute when he starts barking and pulling toward their dog and I hate it. I’ve done training with a dog trainer but her method was not working. I’ll be working with a new trainer in October and hoping her style of training will help. I think is very irresponsible when dog owners still take their dogs to dog parks when they aren’t trained to correct their reactive behavior.

If you watch just about any Cesar video, you will see him immediately correct an unwanted behavior and be consistent even if it takes awhile for the dog to catch on. Bulldogs are stubborn so you must be more so and be firm in your expectations. You have let your dog get away with bad behavior and you are the one to fix it.🤷🏻♀️

If Cesar Millan asked me, how much do you know about dogs? I would die a thousand deaths, lol.l Someone who "falls in love" with a dog from a photo is already approaching dog companionship with her own unmet needs - and unfair expectations. This woman wants to have children - she even verbalizes her desire to treat the dog as her child. This is a dog being set-up for failure.
