for the smallet hands thing i really believe u should use whatever is comfortable and easiest for u. i have small hands and i prefer the xbox controller without the grips. highly suggest trying both then use what is comfortable for u

With claw grip I don’t really like doing it but found myself using it on my left hand a little bit. I use a ps5 controller and have my edit button on right of the d-pad and inventory on up. Sometimes I just claw the controller to keep moving while switching to edit mode or when managing my inventory while again keeping on the move.

Okay so if you're like me and you don't like using claw and you don't have paddles, what I do is I switched my jump button to right stick and my crouch to A. I know its weird, but it really helps when building since the only button you have to press is B and then you can jump around and look at the same time. It makes building a lot smoother. It took me a bit to get used to but once I did, I saw a massive improvement in my builds.

Aim assist feels non-existent on pc w/controller. Aim assist on console seems broken.. especially nowadays with people on new gen consoles having better fps, stronger aim assist than pc w/controller users and people using zens.. I do think having optimal binds and having good game sense is a good counter play to a lot of these things but the aim assist is inevitable

The best tip? Realizing the game is entertainment that is controlled by Fortnite determining who wins. You can play a game and FEEL like you are the best but play that style the next game and your gun will jam, your player will stall, and window popups start randomly without a keystroke. It's all deliberate. The game makes anyone who plays feel like it's game, but you can't really get better without Fortnite putting you in that position. Pros get better ping rates because Fortnite controls every part of the game experience giving its revenue stream initiative by propping up Pros.
