What a beautiful area guys. When the camera was showing the dead tree's on the salt lake. With the sand dune back drop. It looked like a painting, to me. Those wild horse's, are well looked after. I noticed there was a brick built water trough.

A crazy Ozzie from Melbourne created a bicycle race - similiar to Race to the Rock in Oz, but this one goes from Plettenberg Bay via Stellenbosch and ends 2750 km later in Windhoek, mostly on gravel roads including the ones you feature. Its called the Rhino Run. If you want to experience heat, and the sheer beauty of the Cederberg and Namibia, do it!

I agree with you, Andy. Only tonight I went to go to South Mole to fish. Gates still shut. Very sad world we live just because of a small few. That stuff it for the rest of us. I was only talking to a mate about the homeless etc that live in their cars etc. Would be great to see like a caravan park type set up for them all to stay for free. . The Fremantle Port Authority solved nothing. All they did was move the problem to another area. Us fishos are slowly losing places to fish.

Fantastic episode guys, thank you 👍🏻 Also, a question if you have a chance, with all your experience with corrigations what's your approach to them? Tires down & slow down?
@GrizzlyNbearOverland6 ай бұрын
Definitely tyres down and slow down. So far we've found the Namibian corrugation to be quite tame in comparison to Australia. We also reduce the tension on our adjustable shock absorbers.

Hi Leigh and Stephy I have been following you two since Turkey awesome content. You are the inspiration for where we are now. In CapeTown waiting for our Defender to arrive. I was looking for a little advice. The importing agent ( suggest by the shipping agent in the UK ) seems a little vague and wants to charge us what seems a very high fee ( almost the same as the initial shipping cost from the UK .) would you be willing to share a ball park figure for your importing costs and maybe your Agent . Regards Alan & Lesley

Very happy that you are starting your overland journey. Especially in CT . And with a Defender. I m sorry, I don’t have the amount in mind. We used like most overlanders Ducan at African overlanders. All together from Australia it was around 10k .

Thanks guys Still waiting for the Defender (18_19th ) now. I just didn't know how despite all the planning such a big part of the trip is so out of our control. I'm sure it will all work out in the end. In the meantime we are loving our new Bushwakka trailer even if we are pulling it with a Ford Ranger!!
