Hell yeah man. One thing I've found since riding here with locals is that even if they don't ride much, they're hella fast (down and up). No way you can keep up with them. I've only done one Gondy run and that was cycling up the fire road and then went down Hammies. 7 mile is more xc but got some really fun stuff there. That's where I've been doing most of my rides. Oh and Wynyard. That's pretty hectic. Definitely worth doing. I'm unfit as so climbing at 7 miles kills me a bit but it's worth it. PM me on Facey if you're keen for a meet up. I was gonna get a Gondy pass today but not keen on hitting the better trails when it's wet. I live between Wynyard and 7 mile.

Bro thats insane! I went to Whistler in 2018 with my Dad for the bike park, it was my first time overseas other than Bali and in the plane I could see the ice cap rocky mountains and my heart dropped and the dread of of being awake for 28 hours disappeared and the HYPE set in. My Dad got food poisoning the moment we rocked up so I had to do the first 4 days of the holiday on my own, what an insane experience and a big step in independence!

@@AdventuresWithLukeVlogs The tracks were breath taking, New Zealand honestly looks just as good, the jumps were just so well built and I had the exact same reaction as you the first laps I done, I had never seen any berms even half the size and it was such a crazy feeling hitting big table top jumps for the first time. Seems like a couple of NZ mountainbikers in the comments. I had a question that's been nagging at me for a while now: what's the biggest cause of punctures in NZ? I ask because I'm from South Africa, and I'm about to emigrate to NZ. We have many issues over here in SA, but my pet hate is thorns. Almost every fucking plant here has thorns, there are sooooo many I can't explain. Even road riding you pick up thorns, on the bloody roads. Riding tubeless with as much Stans as makes sense, you still end up having to jump off and pump every few dozen Kay's offroad. Lock my stumpy up for the work week, Saturday morning or Friday night the tyres are flat, bead's broken, have to often redo the sealant, and reseat the bead. Actually bought a compressor cylinder because I was tired of buying CO2 bombs every week, shits pricey over here and the currency is shyte
