Don’t watch a lot of makeup videos - wear makeup very sparingly ... I signed in just to tell you how much I liked your video- no nonsense approach and very helpful to someone who is aging and experimenting a little more. I really appreciate all these suggestions Risa and plan to play around with some of these. My current concealer is Lancôme's Effacernes, which is a "Waterproof Protective Undereye Concealer" according to their page. I never hear anyone talk about it but I really love it because I'm constantly putting eye drops in my eyes and my concealer never runs. I hadn't even thought about it being waterproof until the last time that I was in Nordstrom picking it up and a sales associate asked me if I was using their waterproof concealer. It might be perfect for people who swim a lot or just want something that is waterproof.

Risa, I’ve tried every concealer around and ALWAYS ended up with it settling into fine lines and creating scaliness...until, I heard this wonderful tip for priming the under eye area - solidified Coconut Oil! I had a jar of this for cooking so I’ve scooped some out and I smear it under my eyes first thing. It’s been a MIRACLE! I can now use any of my concealers without caking, scaling, settling...and I truly hope this tip helps other people like it did me. Thank you for a great video as always 😘

Hi The skin under the eyes has no sebaceous glands and is very delicate . Coconut oil is a wonderful hydrator , however not so for the face or eyes . It generally will clog the pores on the face and it’s very oily and may be uncomfortable when it melts into the eye . Ask for some good eye creams and masks . Pick a price point and research it . There are some wonderful effective products out there . Blessings

Great video! Works best for my 70 yr old under eye area is the L.A. Girls Peach Concealer right in the line of the blue trough and then Tarte Rain Forest of the Sea Concealer over the entire area. This combo is great! I dont know whay more people arent talking about the Tarte Rain Forest Concealer. I dont use foundation under my eyes and I dont use powder. Thanks for this review.

I use my retin a under my eyes and on my eyelids! It doesn’t irritate them at all and I’ve seen such a difference in my eyelids and my whole face!! That stuff is like gold to me!! It takes time and devotion but it works!

One of the you tubers said you need to use a color corrector before using a concealer because she said if you don't color correct first it just ends up a white blob ( my words) and still show circles. Thanks Risa for this video! I have a super dry undereye area & fine lines. I’ve been using the amazing cosmetics primer for a long while now. It helps. I have tried and liked a lot of the concealers you mentioned. Lately I’ve liked using a dab of the Bobbi Brown undereye corrector only where I really need it and then the No7 radiant glow concealer. It doesn’t accentuate my lines and it’s actually drugstore! The best undereye powder I’ve found is the By Terry powder that has the hyaluronic acid. A tiny bit goes a long way (no baking for me.) I recently ordered the new Becca undereye setting powder which has the same ingredient. I also picked up the Becca undereye corrector. I’ve heard people complain it’s oily, but I’m thinking that could be a really great thing for me! They are in my ulta order in the mail right now, along with the new makeup revolution conceal & define (?) concealer. It’s supposed to be a less dry cheaper shape tape dupe! I can’t wait to try everything and hopefully find that elusive holy grail 🙏🏼

I like the RMS translucent powder to set my concealer under the eye. Very finely milled, and does not cake or settle into lines.

I’ve been using the pixie corrector and just ran out of it so I thought I would try something new and the sales woman in ulta convinced me to try the Mac under corrector and highlighter ( can’t think of the name of it but it’s in a long black tube looks like a mascara wand) and I’m not loving it

First time I've heard of some of these and few I would like to try for sure. What currently works for my very dry, textured under eyes is The Ordinary Caffeine, a drop of marula oil, Too Faced Born This Way concealer just under my lid where it is usually a bit red, Tarte Shape Tape to cover traces of dark circles and Nyx banana powder to set it all. There is no creasing at all, not even after 8 hours of wear. I use the concealers very conservatively.

Have you ever tried a corrector under your concealer? For very dark circles I like to use a peach corrector like the one from Pixi. I know it’s an extra step, but it really does help!

The under eye concealer struggle is real it’s so frustrating. I can’t seem to find one that works for me and I have very little lines under my eyes but as soon as I put concealer on boom! The lines appear. I’m going to try the amazing concealer another you tuber recommended it as well

I looooove the bare minerals concealer! If I ever want more coverage I’ll put a tiny dot of shape tape in the inner corner, then blend in with the bare minerals. I also like mixing shape tape with a bit of eye cream! I got that from Brianna fox!

I just got Charlotte Tillbury and colourpop. I am looking for more natural and organic as well. I love my LaMEr foundation but that is for special occasions. I'm new to your channel and loving it! You have fantastic little tid bits that I havent heard others mention. I have a makeup issue... maybe you can help me. I've got texture in the innercorner of eyes, dark circles, fine lines and puffiness at times on top of cheek under eye where most would high light. Every concealer I've tried makes my under eye darker. So my naked under eye is almost better. Id love to improve on this. I've gone to so many makeup counters and havent had any luck. I have been through so many concealers looking for the holy grail. I finally tried the Nars Creamy and this seems to work pretty well. I am 55 and struggle with not so much lines but definitely darkness. This is full coverage for me and it lasts all day. I would love to try the Amazing one. Where can I purchase this? I have heard that the talc in most setting powders can make your fine lines look worse. So it’s best to look at the ingredients to find one without talc. Have you heard this? Just curious.

The best advice on creasing is from goss. Blot your concealer w/ a tissue before you powder. It really, really works.

Shape Tape works fine for me, I love the coverage, but most people- especially those with mature skin- tend to use way too much, because most KZbinrs use way too much. When that happens, it can look thick and settle into lines. I have heard people say they found it drying, but I don’t. It’s a product worth trying if you haven’t!

I currently use Almay but my only complaint is that the concealers that have a wand don't get right down to the bottom of the "bottle" therefore I find that it runs out very quickly with daily use. My only comment about the Maybelline Age Rewind is that I found it to be a bit sheer. Am I right or am I using it wrongly ? It's really nice to use but just sheer for my bothersome racoon eyes !

I'm sure you're not using it wrong, but you might not be using enough. I find that with this particular formula you can use a lot of it to build more coverage, and it won't look cakey like some others concealers do when you use too much. If that one isn't enough coverage and you want something affordable, give the L.A. Girl one a try!

I find that as well, though I do have the age rewind brightening. It’s watery and doesn’t seem to cover much. If you like brightening concealers, the new corrector crayon from Essence is amazing! It’s like the benefit boing brightening concealer but better, and only like $5 I loved it so much after trying it twice I immediately went out and bought two backups- and I never do that w concealer.
