Well, on the one side I think they are pretty cool,because they are not to expensive...but on the other side many cards ( many inserts, rcs and so on) of a 1-2k hobby box lose their value because of them

Honestly retail Prizm has been good this year for basketball. Panini actually listened and really improved it from the past couple of years. I think Cellos and the Retail display box are the best value for Prizm. I have had some good hits out of it.

Hey y'all I'm trying to get back into collecting cards. 35 now and I've been reminiscing on when me and my dad would get whole sets every year and being that I'm having a baby soon I'd like to have that with them as well. What is everyone's opinion on the best sets to go after? I'm a fan of the big 3 sports but last I checked tops was the go to and it seems like everything has changed. Any advice is welcome!

I collected football and basketball cards my entire childhood. I collected a lot of Kobe rookies and lots of Jordan cards with 90s and early 2000s NFL. I had a family member sell my entire collection without my consent during covid :( Really tough experience. But on the bright side… you and your videos got me back into the hobby for that I’m super grateful! Thanks man keep up the great work!!!

I guess I _CRUSHED IT_ with my Value Packs from WM! I did 5 orders of max; 12 packs (60 total) and hit *_FOUR_* ,...Red White Blue Wembys. Outside of the Pulsar exclusive & Silvers,...the Wemby R/W/B's are obviously the "best" (right around $275-$300'ish,...raw; probably around $600-$700 in a PSA 10) to hit. Across my total rip of Prizm, I guess I did pretty good; 2 Silvers, 3 Greens, 4 R/W/B's, and a shart-ton of base & insert Wembys. _SELECT_ , however; I've gotten completely, *_ANNIHILATED_* ! Absolutely, _NOTHING_ to make note of, and spent _significantly more_ on my Select wax purchases, than I did with Prizm. At this point,...saving all of my 💰 budget for *Optic NBA* !!

I think the print run on these is: 35 (assuming 1 purple pulsar per box) x 300 card set x 20 packs per box = 210,000 retail value packs. I’m not a math guy, so anyone can correct me. My luck was different than yours and my dupes included wemby so I always assume that for every crap dupe I get someone pulled 2 of someone good. I also got exactly 1 pulsar per box x 3 boxes (Paolo, Podz! and Bey). Factor in the other retail formats and their ratios (the /199 seismic’s etc) and that there were stricter limits this year on hobby boxes (according to my LCS) and using the #’d cards I think an actual census can be reasonably approximated. Of course there are the overseas and would need their ratio numbers as well. But IF the ratio drops are consistent and correct, and there is actually equal distribution per card, it can be deduced. Other math… If you get 15 cards per pack. 1 insert on average. 4 prizm. That leaves 10 base. 69 rc’s out of the 300 card set, means rc’s should be 23% of the cards or 2.3 per pack. I think that matches. The 300 cards have equal distribution. For value packs, there are 7000 base Wemby. Add that there are 1900 targets and 4700 Walmarts. That means that of the stores that carry cards, every store got about 2 boxes. So basically every store had 1 base Wemby and you had a 0.5-0.6 % chance of getting a 1/35 if you bought them out. You just didn’t hit it. But that’s a decent chance given the fact that it’s retail.

My personal opinion of these as a retail buyer I think both prizm football and basketball have stepped up this year. I don't feel like any form of these are bad like I have seen in years past. I think every form has its good and bad. These I love the red white and blues. And I like the greens. Thanks for the video

Bought 6 of these packs from target website (2 orders of 3 packs ea, due to their limit), on the first order the dummies sent me 3 blaster boxes of 2023 prizm football instead. Kept the boxes, and Pulled a pink Stroud and a silver Bryce Young prizm. Then received the 2nd order, correct packs this time, didn’t pull anything too big, got a RWB Brandon Miller. I think overall these are decent packs, I’ll definitely be picking up some more in the future.

Retail is definitely better than Hobby for 2023-24 Panini Prizm, but after spending $360-400 on two Value Pack Boxes to get $60-80 is rough. Buying the raw Miller, Henderson, Thompson brothers, Jaquez, George, Podziemski, Whitmore, Hawkins and GG Jackson RCs online or at a card show is so inexpensive - like you said opening for fun is great, but taking advantage of a soft Singles Market is the way to go. You should absolutely get some nice GG Jackson RCs. Thanks for the review on this product! 🤓🏀
