For combat, I agree that the shorter foods are far better. Although I find that if I’m simply exploring or building, the pies are nice to have since they replenish the full hunger bar so you don’t have to worry about it as often.

Personally, I hate the lack of documentation for this game. There are no updated lists of all the villagers in the game, just outdated ones from updates ago. Same for fish, nobody seems to update fishing indexes or guides. For someone like me, I would love to see more documentation. I still don't have the final fish that's "dropped by storm-wild" creatures, and there's nobody else who seems to know either.

The three brute scales material for the gem cutter is kind of harsh for anyone starting a new expert world. That's the only roadblock I'm running into with the update.

Once you get the gem cutter you're basically in end game. The brutes are just annoying enough to be difficult, but definitely possible to kill. Ranged weapons work best in my opinion. If you fight them in an area with alot of trees run infront of trees to try to cause him to get stuck. He'll only be stuck a few seconds but it's enough time to heal/deal damage. Once you get those 3 scales it's basically a rush to fighting raven and getting storm king. You can beat storm king without rifted weapons. But they'd definitely help.

Yep, and even the sand and ice brutes also drop a single normal brute scale each apart from the sand and ice scales

I always tend to attack the brutes from a distance. Same with the bears. Their melee attacks are absolutely devastating

I'm not sure if you have already mentioned this before or knew about it but if you are running low/need rift crystals. In Ravens building, the barrels with the purple/pink bits sticking out give 1 to 2 rift crystals each when broken, I think i got 15 maybe when I looted the whole building 😁

I’m rethinking my villager setup and wanted to see what others are doing. Right now, I’ve got one taking care of cows and another gathering snowberries and spicy peppers to feed them. It used to be great for burgers and shakes, but after the update, it’s really only good for shakes. I’m thinking of switching to metal, gems, food, wood, stone, fabric, and compost. With this setup, I could get sapphire and gold for crafting tools and have plenty of other resources for everything else.

In my villages the jobs that I have applied for my villagers in each of my villages are; stone breakers, chefs, lumber millers, gem cutters, metal smelters, loom worker, and the last one depends, maybe a compost bin worker or just another one of the previous workers.

Crafty, did you know that you can actually glitch a Brute to the point where they either barely attack you or don't attack at all and you can just deal with the other one. I somehow found a way to do it. I can probably upload a video on it but I'll have to see whenever I do encounter a Brute duo.

If you have multiple villagers doing cooking, do we need multiple grills/juicers for them to work? Or is it okay for just 1 grill/juicer? I know you can assign all of them regardless, but I'm curious if it affects efficiency.

gem and metal villagers are probably best imo, I can make my own food if I need to and they usually give lots of junk food. the food changes are kinda tricky, you used to be invincible with just the simple sushi and no charms but not anymore, but the storm juice is good at least

I taught that some villagers were better for some types of jobs than others. Because I have for example tomato head on food and Lionbrand too. But tomato head makes better types of food and a bigger amount faster. 🤔🤔

I’ll say sapphire sword, is just better, for one on one, I do like 25-30 damage per hit. While the mythic storm sword I do 15, the Area damage is good but not that great, against tougher, enemies more for weaker mobs
