I'm with you. I've gone through tons of boots in the last 20 years and these by far have been best. Gen 1 didn't have the velcro, which allowed the zipper to work down, gen 2 added the velcro, would love to see something more robust than the velcro.

Those look really nice and comfortable. I have a cheap pare of neoprene boots I used for wading Estero/Sanibel. I keep them on my boat now in case i get out to wade the flats but the zipper is completely corroded and wont close so I end up with a bunch of sand/shells in them.

Anything Simms is the best there is. I have their goretex waders for 18 years. Have used them hard fishing and duck hunting and have never had a leak.

Hey there, nice video.I fish LBI in NJ year round. How good are the Gen 2 in the sand and surf ? Do you find a little sand in the boot or a lot or none. I'm not finding to many videos on surf fishing and I do like the boot that you showed. Bottom line... Sand intake. Thanks

Good boot a little heavy sand no to bad but not water proof I also use akona dive boots way lighter great ventilation and drainage hardly no sand gets in them but your feet stay wet

To bad these types of boots dont last very long. I love the concept but no matter what brand i get the neoprene glue starts separating or holes start forming very quickly

I use them when I'm working oyster bars but I also use Henderson dive boots neoprene 3mm when I'm wading grassflats they last forever

The shimano boats no grip and the protective shell isn't strong these boots a stingrays barb ain't getting through very strong only thing you got to order on size bigger than your foot I'm a 12 I wear 13 size in n the flats boot

As you can see by the date james I reviewed the simms in 2021 and if you read the title these wading boots are the best not the lightest or the most comfortable.. But best overall for protection .. Now the Henderson and akona dive boots were brought to my attention not to long ago and they are the most comfortable and the lightest boot for wading but offer the least protection. They have a hard plastic blend on the bottom so you can walk over oyster and marine rock .. They are dive boots they are made for that.. I use Henderson now I probably will until I find something better.. So you know I don't push products I promote ones that work nobody pays me to plug there products . If they work good in my environments then I talk about them ..
