He did win the world champs 16 times , only two were with bdo , all the rest were with pdc , he was one of the original half a dozen to quit the bdo and started the wdc which became the current day pdc, he also was still winning and dominant when Adrian Lewis and Barney were at there best, he has the highest average ever in a world final, he scored many 9 dart finishes including being the only man to score two in one. So imo id still rank him as the best there has been

Shaggy was an absolute menace at that tournament. Going T16 for a nine darter, the no look 180 attempts, constantly whipping up the crowd, and of course managing to wind up most of Germany with a certain “comment”, then all but openly admitted he was pissed when he said it. Beat Murumatsu, Noppert, Schindler, Heta and MvG after doing absolutely nothing all year aside from one Euro Tour run that he barely qualified for. Bloke pissed around and made the semi finals. What a bloke.
