@@Andrew-yy2ye it’s totally amazing I can tell you. My first and only red dial watch. The dial texture is gorgeous. My only small gripe is that it would be nice to have a Miyota 9000 series movement in it. That being said, the NH35 in mine is running +2-3 seconds/day, so I’m thinking SM must have regulated it.

Great review! I’m expecting my gray brushed version with C3 lume any day now. The reason I chose that one over this version is for exactly the reason you stated. The one I have coming may not be as trendy, but the hands and markers are highlighted in black. Again, well done. New subscriber here👍🏻👍🏻

I have this watch. It is well built and wears beautifully. I agree with your complaint about legibility and have one further issue to add. The GMT hand could use a bit more contrast to the hour and minute hands, as there are times it muddles up time telling.

Love the review! Nice Aliexpress summer sale too. The aventurine dial is headed to me now. For the white dial 6:19 GS clomage I went with the Cronos L6029. Also, the SM SN0118 in orange is also coming soon (judging by others’ comments, there’s a Mum joke in there somewhere)

I often think Seiko damages their indices and hands on purpose to distinguish their cheaper watches from Grand Seiko. San Martin proves a beautiful finish can also be affordable.

So you said it might be difficult to read at first glance. I can probably live with that, but the real question is that just this watch or is that on the Grand Seiko version as well?. It's not the quality that makes it difficult to read. It's just the style and design. From what I can tell from the very brief picture you showed of the Grand Seiko, it looks pretty similar and I would think the same issue applies to the $10,000 watch. Speaking of the Grand Seiko, I really wish you would have done a side-by-side picture comparison of the two watches so we can see just how similar they are. Just food for thought on the next video. Anyway, it's a pretty good review and you are funny so please keep it up. As for me, I intend to buy this watch and I have tried five times. Unfortunately, my credit card does not appear to work on AliExpress. Not sure why but now I have to call the bank and figure out what's going on. Very frustrating but not San Martin's fault.

The dial is kind of hideous and tacky. Textured for the sake of being textured without any real consideration or work going into aesthetics/light play/legibility/cohesive design Looks like textured dials are now just another spec for chinese kipple Finishing at least looks good though
