My favorite ones: 1- Christopher Ward BelCanto Azzuro 2- Tudor BB54 3- Frederique Constant Highlife Worldtimer in brown 4- Radcliffe Le Dôme purple And in 5, a grail I will never be able to get: MB&F x Moser Pandamonium

2 standouts for me, the Piaget and the H Moser-MB&F. The Piaget for it's confident, high order style and the H Moser-MB&F for it's accomplished horology and humour.

Another enjoyable video Simon,trying to pick best release is so difficult,one of my favourites that I bought is a Bulova Jet Star,a re release of a 70s model,stunning red dial,looks a lot more expensive than the few hundred I paid,love the watch.Hope you have a great Xmas and New Year,looking forward to more of your videos then Simon.

@@Escapement24 for me the JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph Skeleton was stunning, I mean a skeletonised chrono on the back, and the attention to detail was beautiful. I loved the TAG Heuer Chronograph glass box panda too

I think the Tudor FXD black and the Rolex Celebration Dial has to be my favorite releases for 2023. I saw both of them first hand and I gotta say that the FXD is the best light tool diver out there. The light weight titanium case with the combo of Tudor’s canvas strap feels like there’s a lot of action to wearing it. The 42mm dial, although big for some, is not top heavy at all. Honestly, the FXD only won me over once I tried it on. The Rolex Celebration Dial has tremendous detail that I find extremely impressive. The white gold indices with the busy colorful circles tucked it the dial is quite amazing to me. I have a bigger wrist. The Rolex people say I have a “Swiss wrist.” So a 41mm OP would be for me. But the smaller 36mm with the celebration dial looks much more impactful on that particular piece.

I have to agree the FXD is a fantastic piece, though personally I much prefer the original MN21 with the blue dial and bezel. Unfortunately it wears too large for my tiny wrists (the 42mm Pelagos wears better, but the fixed lugs on the FXD extend more).

With watches taking so long to be purchasable, it’s difficult to remember which were this year. The one I was waiting for was the in house movement steel BB41. 2024 would be the elusive Tudor Submariner (or any ceramic bezelled steel Tudor) and a Grand Seiko bracelet with micro adjustment! Oh, and a Tissot Gentleman, fully brushed, no date, with three fold clasp 😈

Enjoyable video, unusual to see so much love for Hublot, I've never really understood the hate, so well done. My favourite release this year was San Martin releasing their first original design that really looked appealing, the GMT SN0116. I liked it so much that I bought one. Happy Christmase

Thank you! I think Hublot is being taken much more seriously since developing it's in house Unico movement, though ironically many other brands who get much more attention don't manufacture in house 🤷 I'll check out that San Martin. In the meantime have a great Christmas buddy!

Great video. But are you redubbing your VO or using AI to zero out the silences?It’s very distracting and ruins the level of presentation, the lack of a hint of environmental reverb is just weird.

Thanks for the feedback - I'm recording in a room that has loads of echo so I use a tool that removes the reverb. Maybe need a rethink 🤔
