my favorite way of finding good basilosaurus's is by using the snow owl. the snow owl is probably the best creature to find other creatures. I'm so happy WildCard added them to the game.

1:11 Fur armor provides no cold protection while in the water. SCUBA leggings provide 200 cold protection while in the water (only). Whereas even if the fur armor did work in water, you would need a full set to benefit from the same amount of cold protection. When shoulder carried an otter can provide up to 82% of its melee damage as cold protection. Although it's oxygen consumption and low health can be a problem.

Fur in water XD omg it makes you colder man! I have 2 basilos on a SE server (yes the desert lol) named Salami and Pastrami, refugees from a former crystal isles server. The only creatures that only eat fish are baryonix, pelagornis, hesperornis, icthyornis, maybe spino and the otter. Every other carnivore will eat raw meat, even ocean dwellers.

On island basilos spawn near herbivore island pretty frequently and on rag they spawn in masses near the island with the bunker north of bearpaw islands and south of the swamp.

When you get over half weight on the tame it will not gather items directly to inventory. Instead a bag will generate with the items inside.

I'm not sure if it's been said already and dont know if u already know. But sometime I don't know when wc made it to where once ur dino reaches half its weight or more it doesn't auto pick up the extra loot from dinos. So for instance u have ur bary at more then half weight and u kill a alpha u would get the norm pick axe and hatchet and teeth but it leave a bag instead of putting it in the inventory. Even if victim item collection is enabled. Which sucks because u can't hold alot more weight before it gets encumbered. It's like wc wants us to carry less resources even though we can hold more. So now we will spend more time dropping resources we may need. This sucks because say ur on a rex or a giga and ur going on a meat run. Say it's 2x harvesting. Well u will reach half the weight of ur dino in no time. Then say u run into a alpha rex and have to kill it. Now it wont pick up its rex tooth the berries or gear, only the meat. It sucks wc makes the game harder to play and takes the fun away little by little.
