These kinds of videos always make me wonder if they have the Fuji brand of bicycles over there. (I used to be a fairly serious cyclist, and those always just seemed to fit me best for what I could pay. ) Also, ooh, pheasant, I haven't had that in a long time... :)

Hi, If you don't mind, could you name some bike names so I can take a look and maybe buy one. I love biking and have 2 already, one is like antique and the other is small mountain bike, but I'm looking into buying a not too expensive electric bike (I'm a teacher so I can't afford much hihi...) Arigatogozaimasu ! Alex
@OllamhDrab
@OllamhDrab 4 жыл бұрын
Well, I don't know much about what's current these days, (I've been off the road a while cause of health conditions and the roads around here, ) And those electrics don't seem to have caught on in the US either, so, I suggest local expertise when you shop, or maybe go to a smaller specialized place where someone can sort of guide you in what to get. Generally you want, of course, a frame size that fits, and some good quality in the basic parts, things like bottom brackets and gearing bits and any shifting mechanisms, ...that saves a lot of headaches and junky feelings later. (Also fitting up your saddle is important, particularly heightwise. A lot of these vloggers end up with them set way too low and wonder why they get pretty beaten up or struggle on longer rides. :)
@alexquyenvo5196
@alexquyenvo5196 4 жыл бұрын
@@OllamhDrab wow, thanks for the quick response ! I know we don't have much of a good choice really when it comes to bikes in the U.S, and I've been to Japan 3 times and still wanna come back, so my next trip I wanna buy a bike haha... Because I'm not sure you know about something called Camino de Santiago, I want to do it, but I want to bike instead of walking like 800kms, I did the Inka Trail for 4 days 3 nights, and it was a nightmare walking all day long carrying stuff on my shoulders, so if I have a good electric bike to help with going up hills and stuff that would be nice for me, you know. Thanks for your suggestions and I really appreciate that !

@OllamhDrab
@OllamhDrab 4 жыл бұрын
@@alexquyenvo5196 Is cool, happened to be around. :) I honestly don't know much about electric bikes, but they may just not be suitable for long distance runs, ie, the weight and maybe lack of speed may not be worth it, unless I suppose it's rolling terrain where you can gain back electricity on downhills, ...the plug-in charge won't last too long if it's uphill all the way, and all,) and they tend to be designed for inner-city commuting, overall. I think there's still plenty of good stuff in America, just I'd noticed that the middle range/affordable road bikes kind of disappeared from the market, between changing styles and it seeming to be that anyone bothering to road bike is expected to want to be a bit spendy about it. (Another reason I like Fuji, though even their entry-level decent road bike was up to like five hundred bucks, last time I was shopping. ) I'd just avoid places like Wal-Mart and see what you like, tell them someone suggested good entry-level components, and don't rule out the used market as long as there's good service expertise around.

Love the video.....but please for the love of safety do your helmet chin strap up properly! 😱 The helmet will fly clear off your head at the first impact and then your skull will be unprotected when it hits the floor. The strap should be snug under your chin, not hanging loose like that. Honestly it was distracting me so much, I just wanted to reach through the TV screen and do it up for you! 😅 We like you (and your videos) and just wish you to be always safe and well. 🙏
