Late last year was one of the lowest points of my life, i have never come closer to not survivng. I found your channel & became inspired to start making my own terrariums. I intentionally chose to hyperfixate on this to keep me distracted from the overwhelming bad thoughts. Between learning new information, expressing creativity, and actively caring for living things...it grounded me more than i can express. Plants helped save my life. So did you. You were the catalyst. From the bottom of my heart, thank you

It's vital for those battling addiction to find a fulfilling hobby, one that fosters personal growth and joy. Personally, I've found solace and purpose in maintaining reef aquariums since my youth. However, my journey wasn't without its challenges. Addiction to opiates and benzodiazepines led me down a dark path, culminating in my clinical death at the age of 26. Thanks to dedicated medical professionals and sheer determination, I survived, eventually rediscovering my childhood passion for coral aquariums. Now, three years into my recovery, I'm immersed in this hobby, experiencing joys I once thought unattainable. To those still struggling: it's never too late to break free. Addiction robs us of happiness and fulfillment, but recovery is possible with perseverance and self-belief. Don't let the darkness of addiction obscure the light that life has to offer. Your story is truly remarkable! I can't wait to read your book. Congratulations on your success and the publication of your new book!🤙

Mate, i have to say my life is nearly exactly the same as yours.. bar the healing vegtable garden and writing a book. My dad passed away of a brain tumour when I was younger and my mum suffered terribly with mental health problems. I was kicked out of school in 2007 as well. I'd started drinking and taking hard drugs at the age of 11, and when i was kicked out of school- when I was about 14/15-, I became a heroin addict. My mum has always loved plants and weve always had loads. Then I became addicted to plants a couple of years ago myself, rather than being addicted to illegal drugs. I particularly love orchids and love animals more than i do people (animals are better people than most himans, lol) but I ESPECIALLY am in love with jewel orchids so it was so lovely to see you with one in this short. Its so strange as ive really been struggling lately and today has been really tough. Then one of your shorts just came up on my KZbin... like it was meant to be ❤ I'm so proud of you, so happy for you, you clearly are a wonderful, intelligent, beautiful person and most definitely deserve to be happy and living your best life. I don't know you but I feel like I do. What a pleasure it is watching your videos. So much love and respect to you, darling ❤❤❤

When I was 6 years old I built a terrarium because I saw it on a yt tutorial and it looked like a cool place to put my Lego characters. After around a year it was insane because there were so much plants that had grown and lots of insects. Bad thing is I was scared of the insects so I sold the terrarium on eBay for £30. The person still gives my mum and me updates on how it’s doing(I’m 14 now) he went on video call with the guy and it looks insane. He moved most of the animals into another terrarium but there was still a lot in my old one and it was so green and looking like a mini rainforest
