Replacing the spark gap with a transistor can improve the performance of a Nikola Tesla Coil. The A614 2SA614 transistor is a good choice for this application. It has a low collector-emitter voltage drop, and it can handle high currents without heating up too much. Nikola Tesla was one of the smartest people to ever live. He developed many things, but one of his most famous inventions is the transformer. A transformer is a device that changes electricity from one voltage to another. This is important because it allows us to use electricity from different sources, like batteries and power plants, and convert it to a voltage that our appliances can use. Recently, some people have been using transformers to create generators. A generator creates energy by turning a shaft, which in turn turns a coil of wire inside of an electromagnet. The current that flows through the wire creates a magnetic field, which then interacts with the magnets on the rotor to create torque (or rotational force). This torque causes the shaft to turn, which in turn creates energy. By using a transformer, you can increase or decrease the voltage going into the generator.

​@@b-beluga4510 Actually his words don't make sense at all. He started from spark gap and ended in generator . The real Tesla coil consists of a spark gap in between the primary coil. It acts as a switch. But here in this circuit there is no spark gap.

The bulbs aren't absorbing voltage. The bulbs are filled with some inert gases like argon , xenon etc. The resonant voltage produced by the Tesla coil can ionize these gas molecules and make them glow.
