It's a simple system I've always used. And not using a stuff sack for the gonk bag saves so much time and room. Thanks for watching and commenting .

Thanks for the video Lee. I keep my knife on the left strap, butt pointing down on a lanyard for quick access plus it makes me feel like I’m Rambo 😂. I’m a little in the dark about the tools on the outside especially the knife from a legal perspective? I keep an arctic sleeping bag inside a Dutch bivvy bag and stuff them both in my main compartment. Keep a lightweight tarp too. I don’t carry boot polish or brushes, I just thicken my boots and leave them. With 24 hours of rations & water can’t justify the weight. 🙏🙏🙏

They way I remember the shitbins on the main packs contents is remembering that you need the RIGHT tools for a job (I keep building kit in there) and at the end of a day (Shelters up, any cam and perimeter measures are all up and done.) there's only the cooking LEFT to do... My bergens modded to have a third rocket over the messing pouch in the middle, hammock and tarp kit live in there, retaining a hidden pocket for valuables/documents, the straps I added to secure that also continue up and secure the floating lid at the front, I also have a four rocket throwover yoke set up, more mods coming as I can get to doing them but the overall plan is L1 kit on my person (bit tough as I wear a kilt and vest tops most times.) L2 kit in the throwover 'running pack' and L3 luxuries in the main pack.
