You gotta master his touches and anti air consistently. Learn your MU and meatys. He's got a lot going on for on him but you can most certainly get him to master 🍶🍶🍶🍶

Another tip I found by Nosa that's been working fr me is to identify 2-3 patterns in your opponents that they like to do, and focus on countering that. Most people only have a couple things that they wanna do anyway, the rest is just fluff.

Another to add to it is drive impact. since in early levels people do random drive impacts as well. It will also get you into the mindset to know to drive impact on reaction.

There are already other videos with drills like this but I enjoyed a lot your personal version. I will sure practice with it trying to do it regularly. If I don't become a monster at whiff punishing I know who to complain to 🤪

@@kaution6829 It's just because at 3:40 you said that with 1 hour practice a day for 2 weeks, one would become a monster in the neutral game. Just joking, btw thanks as always for the video!

Can you make a video of all Jaime's space traps and frame traps? It would be amazing to have that info all in one video Instead of spread out.

Oof that's going to be a big video, the possibilities are endless but I'll see if I can compile the ones I use the most!

'Preciate you showing us this Grandmaster Kaution! I climbed up from Bronze and did some training like this to get me through Platinum I'm gonna take your tips and elevate my game more. Would you ever practice anti airing with Tensei Kick?
@kaution6829
@kaution6829 7 ай бұрын
Tensei kick is a tough one, imo if you focus too much on it and you use it instinctively against every jump, you will lose to a lot of jump ins since the air invincibility is low to non existent compared to lk arrow kick with more air invincibility and 5f startup. When you're ready for the jump or it happened in the throw OS setup is when I use it the most.

I believe in real scenarios you wouldn't step back so much at the right timing because you don't know when they will take action

It is important to keep yourself at that distance tho, regardless it's a good lesson to train your muscle memory for real matches, the reality will always be different but that's inevitable

Is it necessary to add the jab before? Wouldn't just the back-and-forth shimmy into the action be more ambiguous?
@kaution6829
@kaution6829 7 ай бұрын
Shimmy doesn't really apply as it's from a neutral standpoint, the jab is not necessary as long as you keep all the actions similar so that you don't know what option comes next, the reason I like to use jab is to prevent myself flinching when I see the jab e.g. doing parry or DI when I see the jab, it helps me condition myself to look out for the specific move I'm trying to Punish and not just press something with the slightest of movement I see. But you can use whatever you like!

I set up my ryu in the same way, but I seem to trade more often than not. It's still good to train reaction time though. How's 2H for an anti air? I haven't tried it too often in a match but it works decently against the training dummy
@kaution6829
@kaution6829 7 ай бұрын
2H is good too, I've trained dp for years so it's kind of my.muscle memory but it's great for creating pressure afterwards since they land right next to you most of the time!
