Florida native here. We are blessed to have some of the most beautiful beaches anywhere! Glad you enjoyed them!

I'm a full-time dive instructor and RV life. FL beaches is by far the best walk-in dive places. I'd love to dive with y'all. I'm down anytime/anywhere Hanks.
@arednecksgarage2 жыл бұрын
Maybe a silly question but since I've never met a diver in person and since your instructor I figured you'd be the perfect person to ask adding that with the information I just found out the video so I have always wanted to dive but I can't swim because for some reason I cannot tread water it's like I got rocks in my gut I can paddle enough to keep myself afloat just to sustain my death a little longer but finding out that the vests hold air to keep you buoyant was great information and that gives me hope that I will be able to die one day so I guess saying all that my question is do people that can't swim dive I'm going to guess yes because of the stuff I just found out but I didn't know that before this video so I never even thought to look into it
@jordancook16682 жыл бұрын
With PADI and I’m sure the others as well (NAUI, etc) you must complete a swim test which includes treading water for ten minutes and swimming 200 meters I believe it was. Everybody can tread water, you just haven’t been taught how. Keep more air in your lungs and lay back more for starters. I’m PADI advanced and truthfully have always been less than comfortable in the water. I put my mind to it and sailed through the process because it was important to me, but you may need to work on your swimming prior to your classes. It doesn’t have to be pretty, just spend time in a pool and get to where you can improve your comfort level.
@lutherlewis96812 жыл бұрын
@@arednecksgarage Jordan is correct. All the certifications require some form of swim test and treading water test. But there are programs that help disabled and non-swimmers to dive with a couple skilled dive masters and therapist. You can also find a lot of local dive shops that specialize in non-swimmers. I've helped a lot of non-swimmers get certified or go on a special dive.
@arednecksgarage2 жыл бұрын
@@lutherlewis9681 thank you that helps yeah I was never really taught how to swim when I was a kid and it's never been a priority maybe one day I'll get the opportunity to be taught how to and that would bring much more joy In to my Life
@lutherlewis96812 жыл бұрын
@@arednecksgarage Absolutely . Walk in to a local dive shop and ask to speak with them. Every shop I've ever been in you'll find the most helpful and fun folks you'll ever meet. Good luck, save me and tell me where you're from. If I'm ever in your area, I'll take you out.

Glad to see you two getting in some fun time! Sitting in front of a computer screen for long periods of time is not something you look forward to do! Making time for yourselves is paramount to keeping your relationship alive and growing. RV life is “nomadic” at times which can cause stress in a relationship. Good to see some of the things you love doing, and if diving is what your into then make more time for exploring under water! It definitely makes a difference in your personal well-being! For those land people your excursions allow us to view something that we would not ordinarily do, and get a chance to see through your videos what underwater life is all about! Thanks for sharing and do more vlogs on your excursions!

Lining up the poles is basic scuba navigation. You do the same with landmarks and buildings. If you are out swimming and find something in the water you look to shore and find two sets of buildings (permanent structures) that line up, the farther the two sets are apart the more accurate you are able to find your location.

Another great video guys! Cool to see a video from where I was born, raised and still live! Would love to have met yall! When you mentioned about the sand squeaking, 25-35 years ago when I was a kid, it would squeak much louder; still does but the sand used to be so clean. The quartz sand on our beeches actually comes from the Appalachian Mountains. Enjoy your time down here!!

To extend your dive and make it easier to swim back in. Stay underwater and wait to surface until your in waist deep water. Then take your fins off and walk in. We hope to get down to the keys to do some diving next year. We’ve been diving down on Bonaire for the last 17 years so we have not done any diving elsewhere But we did get a trip to the Maldives in 2018 which was great. Highly recommend going there.
