I think that .750 batter aging speed is significant. I started my games doing that and saw a few players like Mookie Betts, Xander Bogaerts, and Matt Chapman retiring at age 46, which I thought was just too high. I settled on .900 for batters and .850 for pitchers.

I may be in the minority but I would like to see your full comprehensive settings guide even if it is an hour long. Theres a lot of nit-picky settings that I can never decide what to do with. Maybe just a second part to this video where you go over everything you didn't cover here? Either way, thanks for the video and appreciate the suggestions.

This video is awesome, I've been playing since OOTP 5 and we share a lot of the ideas about setting up leagues, but I did learn some things! Nice video for vets and rookies!

Could you possibly publish the comprehensive list of settings changes you make in like a google doc or something? I would find it really useful! Great video as well, glad i found it!

thank you so much! Yes, I'll definitely put a full list together soon

Very informative video. I have been playing since 2012, but I'm usually very crap at this game. Maybe 23 is my year.

Thank you! Here's to 23 being filled with World Series wins :)

I feel your pain. I won it all in my second season running the Indians in OOTP 22 and done nothing since.

Thanks for the video man this is my first year with the game (since I still can’t get a ps5) and I’m hoping that my skills from football manager will make this transition a little easier.

thank you! I think so, I found a lot of overlap between OOTP and FM when I started playing FM the first time. I think the hardest thing for me to grasp was scouting / understanding how good players were at first in FM, but coming to OOTP will probably be a bit easier since there's fewer attributes to worry about

Amazing video. should have more likes. I really appreciate the insight on player aging and development. Oh and Go Jays!! I'm bias but I really do think we could take the title this year :). Maybe I can bring it home first in OOTP :)

So when you add the other leagues in how would you get one of those players from that league onto your team?

is it ok if I select disable interleague play? i'm starting a 2022 mlb save. i don't want a broken 153 game schedule the following season.
@lincarnategames2 жыл бұрын
You should be able to as long as you go into the settings and manually regenerate the schedule. The only other thing you'd want to check is that you don't have other schedule settings changes that conflict with that change, like forcing a balanced schedule (which I think would result in either 154 or 168 game seasons in the current league setup)

The worst team nickname the AI ever did for me was it changed the Tigers to the "Detroit Ragin' Cajuns"... Ever since then I turned automatic league evolution off

That could lead to some hilarious head canon though. Pretend that it's a crossover with a new Illitch family restaurant chain!

set AI evalution to 25/25/25/25. much better than default.
