The down side is you dont have destruction effect. Read the text carefully dragoon needs at least one normal type monster so u can use its destruction plus burn effects.

I agree that the deck that will benefit most from dragoon is shining sarc. The ceiling is raised exponentially for them.

You can also make dragoon in any deck that has access to a synchro 6 plus a light monster. Make Muddy Mudragon, use itself (as albaz) and a light to make Albion, then fusion summon Dragoon using Albion and Muddy (as DM). Pretty easy to do in White forest.

@@Kiriemyin the TCG that is what we do since we don’t have access to it. Another option that was explored and requires 1 less ED slot is the Arms of Genex synchro, but that can only negate monsters and isn’t a spellcaster, both of which come up often

Been playing this deck quite a bit and found a lot of success with a Dogmatika build. Also I recommend running Dark Ruler and Ultimate Slayer as this deck does well going second.

The same theory can be apply in Dark Magician deck. Running Dragoon in DM deck has an advantage over Shining Sarcophagus is Dragoon's pop is on.

If your this strategy, the 1st of Dragoon effect of destroy monster will be offline because that effect require your to fusion using normal monster, in order to ensure that effect live. But it doesn't matter, what matter is omninegate which core value of Dragoon. Losing poping monster in exchange for not playing a brick is still worth it. However, i'm not sure whether your can pop up 1 opponent monster or not if did used normal monster to fusion summon but for sure your cannot destroy 2 opponent monster because your did not used normal monster to fusion summon.

Unironically I care much more about Ash and Imperm than Maxx "C" in this deck which was why I included Imperm lol (although now with more emphasis on Gandora/Dark Magician plays, you're also more susceptible to Maxx "C" than before because for some reason they're activated effects to summon)

Duality is not searchable in branded but can also be used to dodge imperm veiler on branded dragons or to facilitate the OTK. Shadow's light is searchable (TTT target) and better going first.

Nice video. What do you think of 3 dragoon with a pot of extravagance?, especially losing prosperity. I was using both so now I may just try that. Your philosophy on 2 swordsman and one silent magician was interesting and logical cuz I usually did the other way around. I have a similar decklist but the main changes is adding the kash lineup over some handtraps to bait out interaction cuz I realized quickly that gadget getting handtrapped or opening no ways to shining sarc basically means we do nothing. I also played one magnahut as a way to search Gandora while also being a dragon material for dragoon.

I don't think it's worth the UR lmao, this is like the only deck where it even remotely makes sense in and seeing as how extrav is limited... yeah. Kash is fine too but the deck really struggles going second and Kash cards don't deal with established boards well enough without other non-engine like handtraps to stop them first (and if they don't imperm the Unicorn which good players tend not to do then it doesn't solve the getting handtrapped problem either unfortunately).

Technically you CAN play like small world for that if you really want to. There's enough room for handtrap combinations to make it work

Sorry, but the best deck to play Dragoon is definitely NOT Shining Sarc. You may not have to play any bricks, but what you're ignoring is the fact that the deck you're playing is Shining Sarc meaning you aren't playing very many good cards to begin with. FYI, the best deck that's going to run Dragoon is White Forest. It also doesn't run any bricks to run the card either. It summons it by synchroing out Muddy Mudragon, which fuses into Albion. Then Albion just banishes itself and the Mudragon in the GY for Dragoon. So, White Forest runs absolutely zero different cards in the main deck and it is simply a 3 card ED package. No main deck cards required.

White forest I'm not sure should be making mudragon over its own level 6 synchros. It's a deck that doesn't even need Dragoon, especially in a format where Baronne is still legal and I feel like I'd rather get a search from Rciela most of the time.

Games you go full combo and don’t win probably involve getting dropletted for your life savings into the tenpai field spell, where dragoon is probably only forcing an additional discard.

You can just include Duality or Shadow's light (searchable) to summon dragoon using Granguignol, no need for bricks and it is better for the grind game than Garura or even Guardian Chimera (arguably). The good thing is that these cards can also be used on B.Lubellion (Furious dragon), Shrouded Albion (Sanctifire) or to dodge imperm in the case of Duality. I will try running light sealed fusion and Duality as an alternative method to bring it out. Dogmatika can also bring it out very easily with maximus or fleurdelis.
