Great tips 💞 I do disagree with starting over with a mistake, you can restart your count, but stopping playing when you make a mistake will sound really jarring when you play in front of others. It’s a habit you don’t want to get stuck in.

At the beginning it's all about muscle memory, we don't want to drill in bad notes I suppose. After we master which notes to play rhythm or hands co-ordination are more loose and more mistakes at the beginning allowed.

Honestly, I started piano with the process awhile back - I don't think it's the best way - I'd gone on to learning a grade 3 piece, 4 and 5. But I'd never actually learnt finger placements - scales - inversions. These are all vital to actually knowing your way around the piano. They are super boring to practice as well, but so useful later on down the line as you will be able to play so many harmonies without much thought. My approach now is sheet music (a new skill) and practicing scales and inversions.

Thank you for posting this. The “+Easy Tutorial” comment is something I had not considered. My only take on learning the left hand bass portion is to limit the notes played by the left hand initially to just one or two notes instead of a full pattern per measure and then gradually increase the notes of the bass pattern.

How do you set the tutorial screen to repeat only a small section of the song or only the left hand or right hand separately?

For now seems to be impossible on KZbin, we have to wait ... possible on softs wich can read audio and video like cubase....

You get the MIDI from Musescore and use Synthesia ... Or even better, you download the music sheet and learn to read it. It's not that hard, you'll make progress over time just like you slowly make progress at playing the notes. It's mind blowing to see the video promote something as inefficient. So much effort just for 2 bars of a piece.

What if all my want-to-play music is in 2 to 6 flats key? It took me 2 months to play the easiest one (2 flats key) and year to play it better. I still love it and it keeps me motivated nonetheless but the main goal has 6 flats key and is 3+ times longer and it’s unbearable to learn that for years, I’m afraid to even start

Just made a reevaluation… it’ll take years if you could stand dedicated to just one song. And the most effective way is to get full-scale music education to get there. I’m talking about “Moment of decision” by MusicMike, I don’t give a link ‘cause YT likes to shadowghosting my comments for such activities. I managed to learn “Friendship” (from his channel) using sheet music so this is still an achievement

This is fine if you're just wanting to mess around but it doesn't help you understand what, how, an why you do these things. Learn chords an scales first an keep it simple your first year an don't skip out on learning to read the music as well its very important even tho it's boring an complicated at times, with time you want need sheet music unless it's your first time hearing it
