Best tips of all I can give is write down the locations of the diamond rather then mining them, that is because you should try get fortune 3 first, then go back to the locations. Can be written down on paper or use ingame sign. If you are unlucky with the enchantment, you mine another 3 diamonds to make a new diamond pickaxe. You should also mass produce cow far, to fast gain XP and to make shelf block (book block) or whatever its called, for the enchantment.

Mine for diamonds at y=-53 on Minecraft Java Edition version 1.21.0. use a trapdoor to crouch and mine less , this prevents mob spawning and puts less strain on your pickaxe. Mine 20 blocks forward, then, every two blocks, branch out and mine 20 blocks.

I honestly find a shulker box full of nightvision potion and a fortune 3 pickaxe going into deepslate caves the most effective way of finding diamonds. I was able to find 130 diamonds just under an hour.

​@@βΛΔΗΟΛΣits more effecient to mine in a 1 by 1 than a 1 by 2 as per block mined, you reveal 5 new blocks rather than 4 for a 1 by 2 and 3 for a 2 by 2. This means you can mine further in a shorter amount of time, revealing as many blocks as possible per block mined (increasing your chances of finding diamonds). It also saves you durability on your pickaxe

There is always this question considering strip mining: one is about having more speed about finding them, the other one is about being more certain of finding them. Big difference is that Diamond ores mostly comes in clusters, still I'm the one who likes to be certain of not actually skipping diamonds.

So I did a little experiment myself by comparing the 1 block tall and 2 blocks tall strip mines and heres what I found: -with the 2 blocks tall strip mines i mined east and west 500 blocks straight (totaling about a 1000 blocks) and in total i found 23 diamonds -with the 2 block tall mine i also hit a lot of lava pools wich was to say the least… annoying -with the 1 block tall mine i went just west 250 blocks while doing the “ladder technique” and in total i found 27 diamonds! So 4 diamonds more than the 2 block tall mine with quadruple the distance mined -I also didnt hit any lava pools… but found a bunch of open caves so considering climbing out of the mine to explore a bit i guess u could find even more diamonds In conclusion: I do reccomend the “Y-53 1 block tall ladder strip mine” with the only issue being how slow it is… My experiment was done with a netherite pickaxe with haste 4 and efficiency 5 and swift seak 3 leggings… imagine a defaukt iron or diamond pickaxe with no swift sneak… So you will find more diamonds… in a longer period of time i guess Good luck with your strip mines!

For Java, it's best to use doors in aquafers, since it creates an air pocket, in which you can mine at regular speed, it'll make the process faster

You can use doors to breath underwater instead of magma blocks because magma blocks are harder to find than crafting doors. Plus you dont have to crouch, however using doors underwater to breathe is only in java version

Pro tip: if you have 8 diamonds youll need them first craft an enchanting table,2 diamonds pickaxes then get silk touch on the first then fortune on the second then mine diamonds with silk touch then go to surface then place the ores you mined and mine them again but with fortune pick and it will double it I got 60 diamonds from 15 deepslate diamond ore thats helpful

Going to the left and right isn't exposing more blocks. Make your tunnels 3 or 4 blocks apart. Id say 3 if you are using a haste beacon as you only have a limited amount of area to through before you need to reset that beacon. 3 or 4 as most veins spawn being at least 2 blocks wide, exposing each 2 wide veins to you when you do 3 blocks, and a little more than 2/3 of all with 4 blocks.

I do have a couple of notes for improvement: 2:05 *than, not then You can also use doors, which let you mine faster, as you're inside an air bubble, as opposed to being underwater. Doors won't harm you like magma blocks, so there's no need to sneak.

I suggest deep dark caves, but those can pose more risk. Finding a deep and large aquatic cave also takes time, but can be more effective in getting diamonds compared to 1x1 tunnelling at -68, from my personal testing so far.

Yeah that crawling trick doesn't really make sense...Mining two blocks reveals 6 blocks,Not 4. Plus its safer in case you do run into lava since you can see it coming.

Plus after doing it personally, it’s very easy to block the lava considering you only have 1 spot you have to place a block to stop it. Either way you can mine into lava and it’s usually easy to block or go around.
