Personally, I think it would be cool to see large gold veins generate inside badlands biomes. Gold already generates in abundance in badlands so maybe have large gold veins generate inside andesite or diorite? I think it would truly cement the badlands as the biome to find gold, just like the mountains are the biome to find iron, and dripstone caves to find copper.

At the stony peaks biome you'll also encounter emeralds, and a whole lot of coal and iron. I just went to mine calcite blocks (For a build) and got way more iron and coal I could ever hold on to. It took me 2 chest boats to transport everything I got (no, I don't have any ender chests yet).

The iron farm is also an emerald farm from villagers like toolsmith , blacksmith , weaponsmith. Trading with these villagers can also provide diamond tools and armour.

Combine it with some type of spawner(Spiders ,Cave Spider ,Zombie or Skeleton) then you can have 3 farms in one

I prefer to use fences instead of the walls on the Iron Farm cuz the Golems sometimes get stuck on the Wall Ledges. But yeah, it's a great farm that's easy to build.

I never use silk touch when mining iron ore. Instead I use fortune iii and convert the raw iron to raw iron blocks. Instead of stacks if 64 iron you carry a stack of 64 raw iron blocks. IIRC fortune iii only gives max 4 rae iron per ore block, so it gives space for twice as much iron to do it that way.

"since we gotta find something so rare" i have found an iron vein in almost every world made since its release and all i do is cave or strip mine i barely explore outside of finding a nice spot to set up base and boom iron vein nearby in a cave or i dig into it through a resource strip mine like my current world and even discovered it stretches pretty deep and very far through the caves nearby as well which is how i found it during a strip mine actually on my dig down making the ladder way up and down dropped into a cave shaft and boom iron vein and right at base even lmao

I recently started a hardcore game, went to armor up right away, decided to keep going down into deepslate when I found a couple of diamonds when I accidentally ht a vein. I ended up grabbing a quick 100 ore plus two blocks of raw iron. I guess I can go back for more if this video is correct. Didn't know about the "tuff" qualifier, I will watch out for that from now on.

Iron farms are a bit more of a pain on Bedrock since you need more villagers, but since they are a side effect of any decent sized trading hall it works out - as all the time you spend in the hall is time it is putting iron into the hall for trading with.

Completely agree- trading halls have 2 benefits now. Cool trades and free iron(you do have to kill the golems tho)

@@aoarashi3025 combine it with a Zombie Spawner then you can get Discounts .I don't know much about the mechanics but go check Prowl8413's and Silentwisperer's Channels if you need farms for Bedrock

@@johnkenrickchua1811 not only that, but you also get tons of experience by killing Zombies, than trading the items you get with villagers. A cleric (or two) takes care of all the rotten flesh and could give you mending books in return.

I think the watery caves are the best source of Iron and by far the most fun. Just need an efficiency 4 or 5 pick axe, respiration 2 or 3 helmet, and water-breathing pots help a lot. If you don't have pots, then dig holes in the cave's roof or sides to breathe and move along to dig another hole. As long as you have respiration it's easy, but also easy to get lost.

I have an idea for a large gold vein. The large gold vein can ONLY generate in all of the Badlands biomes and even until then they have a very rare chance to replace large iron vein They look exactly like iron veins but its gold instead So it's made of tuff, deepslate gold, and raw gold blocks

Rocky Peak biomes are absolutely insane for Iron and Coal veins. I loaded a random seed and got one where you spawned a few chunks west of a RPB. There's also a Nether Portal ruin further up on the mountain (like. Less than 200 blocks East of spawn). If that couldn't get any better, there's TWO ancient cities below the mountain. Seed: -6937162303856882453 Spawn: -11, 95, 22 (rough estimate) Nether Portal Ruin: 212, 208, 36 Mega Ancient City: 173, -21, 111 Note: I play on Bedrock so I apologize to every Java player who reads this. This seed won't work for you :(

His iron farm is built high up off the ground so it is very cat-safe. I know what you are talking about though since I built the ground level farm with villagers underground and the golems right at the surface and have lost at least 10 cats to it.

In short: build an iron farm. It only requires finding and prepping villagers, which you would more likely than not doing anyway. It would only need a little bit of mining to get at most 2 stacks of iron for hoppers and rails (can be get from killing golems that are spawning on top of your barrack), some gold and redstone (can be bought from a villager cleric if you are lucky to find brewing station) for booster rails. If you are good enough, you can just use pathfinding for villagers to get in beds.
