Bulldog is mediocre, it works and nothing more. It is one of the few guns in the game that is completely outclassed. Even the stinger for example can be better than the Vandal in some situations but the Bulldog is a gun which gets objectively outperformed

@joemogley you're talking as if weapon prices aren't a thing thst exist in the game. You can easily buy bulldog + heavy shields on R2 if you get a kill or 2 on pistol round, making it insanely overpowering against the enemies eco or save round.

I actually use all the eco weapons from time to time, no discrimination. Depending on the situation. Sometimes, I will buy the sherif because when I am carrying a stinger, I will often forget to pick up a primary, and I can just walk over a primary with a sherif without moving my crosshair.

You could actually just press G (or whatever the hotkey to drop your currently equipped weapon is) while walking over a rifle dropped by an enemy. This will allow you to exchange guns without moving your crosshair an inch.

@@nullcmdval that'll still give you some disadvantage tho cause you will have to switch to your primary after dropping it. So you drop your stinger, it swaps you too secondary, you pick the other gun up, you switch back to primary. That does make you more defensless

@@Fafnir8080 you dont even switch to secondary, as you drop your primary when the vandal/phantom is below, so basically you only have the weapon's pull up animation, which is fairly short and shouldn't be a problem 99% of the time.

I like bucky more for short range: unlimited magazine and one shot kill gives it multi kill potential; furthermore the jumpshot accuracy is not nerfed like judge so it's super annoying to play against in a 1v1 where your opponent keeps jump spotting and dealing damage. I get it though, stinger is more flexible and skilll ceiling is higher

without utility to back the bucky up, or by missing once or getting server desynced on pellets when flicking, it can be inconsistent. stinger gets pretty much guaranteed value compared to bucky and is still usable on ranges further than three bananas away from you

I find it funny when I see my whole team buy sheriffs on ecos and then I’ll entry (get maybe 1 or 2 kills with a judge, Bucky or stinger on our light guys or ecos) and then watch all of them whiff. Way to many people use a sheriff when they have bad aim or crosshair placement. Sheriff relies fully on aim whereas the other eco guns can rely on good positioning. I still use the sheriff once in a while but it’s definitely less used by me than it used to be.

Absolutely, the Stinger is way more forgiving than the Sheriff in that regard. You could technically have bad crosshair placement and STILL get kills with the Stinger, although I don’t recommend it as it builds bad aiming habits.

​ Player focus too much on hitting head and forget they have to hit the body too, wayyy too many player whiff everything, if you miss head that bullet should at least hit the body is the secret to success, aim for consistency, learn to get kill using various mean but "just aim better" and you be surprise how far you can go, learning to kill people without hitting head might be harder than just hit head and win duel.

I used to use stinger and phantom as my eco and full buy weapons, but in order to improve my aim I've switched, in casual at least, to only using Sheriff and Guardian and has helped massively and now I can branch out again to weapons that are less about raw aim.

I find it entertaining when I camp inside a smoke and a enemy comes through, gets sprayed. Then I leave the smoke(because mostly all enemies push knowing the low mag size) and then they swear in chat after that, I report them, they get penalty, I get great time, they get a bad time.

oh there's actually one more thing i didn't cover, which is stinger vs spectre for anti eco rounds (after winning pistol for instance) my personal opinion is that spectre > stinger on anti eco. although the stinger has higher burst dmg than the spectre, because of how teams usually group up or stack a site on eco rounds, you'll most likely benefit more from the multi kill potential of the spectre. that being said i would much rather have a stinger over a spectre on eco because its 500 creds cheaper + even more deadly at close to medium range

I agree with the statement that the stinger is strong at close range. I remember grabbing a stinger from a teammate, and later in the round, I was against two or three enemies. I killed most of the group but died, having to reload due to the small magazine size.

Smg should be good at run n gun and pistol also should be more accurate. U are at disadvantage when u go against vandal or phantom on eco but this problems isnt occurs in cs. You could buy mac10 in t side and punish this guy who crouch spraying with m4 or in CT side, well its more broken as the mp9 just going to work every round like it has high burst accuracy better than vandal itself, high jumping accuracy, and high firerate and no strafe punishment (Valve please dont nerf it). Meanwhile valorant, i would rather use classic and throw rounds or buy just bulldog and armor until i catch enemy vandal. No reason to use eco gun when u cant run n gun with it, no bonus reward, making yourself in more disadvantages.

I use stingers in full buy if the enemy is heavily reliant in OP exactly because of it's running accuracy, in lower than asc/imt elo, most Opers don't expect the jumping swing from the stinger in full buys, so they miss their shot, and you get a free kill (and an upgrade) If you lose the round you can still afford a stinger in eco and buy your op in next full buy. This is only usable for first full buy of the half if you lost pistol and eco.

Every time someone says "spray pattern" in Valorant it's like a raid siren going off letting people know that person has no idea what they're talking about. I'm not convinced you've even played the game before. Sometimes your spray from the stinger will be completely wild and not at all where you're aiming, unless you're nearly right on top of them.

At no point in the video did I say that the Stinger has a fully predetermined spray pattern. I did mention that it has a *relatively* consistent spray pattern compared to other weapons though. Also one more thing - the spray pattern isn’t fully deterministic, nor is it completely random. From a Riot employee: With recoil in VALORANT we don't quite use a predetermined spray pattern or an entirely random one, we use a hybrid model. The first several bullets have fully deterministic recoil, but deeper into the spray, your weapon will make pseudo-random deviations.

This idea the word of someone working for Riot should be treated as Gospel is just military grade copium. If it's not deterministic, it's random. This "hybrid model" doesn't make logical sense to anyone with above room temperature IQ. Either the pattern is predetermined, or it isn't. The Riot employee who made that statement obviously doesn't understand basic vocabulary words, and his attempt to explain the system involved a misunderstanding of his own terms. The only criticism I've made of your video, is the fact the stinger is definitely not a laser, and involves my bullets randomly not going where I'm aiming whatsoever in an objectively random way. Most people who have played the game more than 5 minutes will have this happen to them eventually, and be hesitant to buy the stinger. You seem to have well above average aim and mechanics, but this (just like the Riot employee) doesn't automatically translate to being intelligent or making good arguments.

Stinger is a good weapon the only problem with it is when do you even buy it if you win pistol u can buy much better weapons if you lose pistol its much better to save than gamble on winning a round where enemies have better equipment and in any other round you should either be saving completely or force buying completely(buying like a guardian or a bulldog)

While you raise a very good point, sometimes it’s a matter of buying Stinger plus full shields and utility versus buying Guardian with half shields only. And depending on the agent that you’re playing, you might wanna prioritise having full utility over the stronger weapon. You’re absolutely right, forcing a Stinger after losing pistol is extremely risky and definitely requires some level of coordination with your teammates. I wouldn’t recommend it if you didn’t manage to get bomb down as you’d barely have enough money to full buy next round. Hope this helped and I’m always welcome to discuss this further with you!

I remember when deathmatch just came out, when I was tired from aim training with sheriff of marshal, I would buy stinger + shorty (they weren't so nerfed yet) and just shoot at people. No stopping, bullet refill after a kill, that was such a deadly combo, many would exit or swap to the same loadout

Nah, frenzy is a far better eco option, stingers cost too much. Although I do think its a great weapon, its not generally for most eco rounds. I feel like Stingers should only be bought in force buys, or sheriff for long range maps. On rat maps like bind a shorty or frenzy minimizes your loses from getting one and done, since stinger isn't a multikill weapon, they both have simular values.

Just use whatever is most consistent for you. I rarely buy a sheriff, because i'm horrible at using it. I'd rather spend a bit extra for a stinger anyway, because it's much easier for me to use and will more likely lead to a round win. But there's no point buying a stinger if you're an absolute demon with sheriff. That's just my thoughts tho, don't take a gold-plat neon only player's advice too seriously

You’re absolutely right, comfort is definitely key. I for one cannot hit Marshal shots for the life of me, but drop me a Stinger and I will easily get 3 on the round. It’s really all about your agent, preferred playstyle and the map you’re playing on. In the words of Chamber: "Weapon choice, it is so personal, non? You pick a gun and it tells me who you are."

I still buy the stinger. I've gotten an ace with it before. Last act, Lotus A site Attack with Neon. Nobody even saw it because they all left expecting me to die. No nice in chat or anything. If you won pistol, always, I repeat ALWAYS buy on round 2. You would literally be throwing away a free round if you decided to save after winning pistol. If you lost pistol, most of the time you should be saving on round 2 so that you can comfortably full buy on round 3. There are certain exceptions to the rule above though. If you lost pistol but still managed to plant the spike, this should give you just about enough credits to force buy an SMG and half shields, as planting the spike gives you an additional 300 credits. Make sure that you always synchronise your buy with your team though, as there’s no use buying when everyone is saving and vice versa. Hope this helped!
