The last time I went in solo, the rift spawned right next to me. So happy that you don’t have to have three different ammo mods to unlock it. You can do three of the same kind, if you can find the corresponding obelisks.

I can actually shed light on the spawn for the obelisk. The obelisk do not cap out at 1 at a time. The spawn in as the game goes on the earlier in the game you try to find them the harder they are to find. Based on a bunch of games I’ve played it seems like they spawn in 3 at a time as the game goes. I do not know how much time needs to pass before the second set of 3 spawn it could be every 10 minutes still working that out. But it does seem like you only get 2 chances to make it into the rift. If I figure out the amount of time between the spawns I’ll update this.

I can't confirm it but i'm pretty sure Obelisks spawn progressively throughout a game and the cap for how many can be spawned in at one time seems pretty high. In multiple games i've played i'd come across them very frequently towards the end of the match so imo it's not worth actively looking for them at the beginning. Another benefit of doing it later is that the chance someone is gonna steal it is very low.

I've seen obelisk spawn very close to each other. One at the entrance to the Military Base (Big Rocket Statue) and the other at the Pharmacy just outside of the base next to where you do the T1 Escort/Cargo mission. It's where you'll see the Pack A Punch machine as well. They were both up at the same time in T1.

You may have done this, but un-equipping and then re-equipping a weapon after changing any attachments is always a good idea.

Make sure you have tombstone soda equipped before going into the unstable rift. It takes it away but gives you a tombstone with a power up once inside.

Yesterday I was wondering if obelisks are lucrative, at the time I watched a video with at least 30 pillars/obelisks locations: PAP 3 weapon, Legendary Tool, Packed Scorcher, Solo Run. How I see it with just one lobby experience: 4 of them required the same ammo mod (napalm at the time of the experience), NO SHATTER BLAST in any of the obelisks/pillars. There are chances to get to the Unstable Rift if you are not able to reach the first activation of the rift so you could activate it more than once if not the maximum amount is 4 Unstable Rifts (?) [depending how many unstable rifts are there in the map]. There is a chance to find at least 3 in the Tier 1 area without having a stronger weapon (based on my experience). In conclusion, they are lucrative UNLESS you have the ammo mod to activate them, need to activate them for the essences, or need them for easy Special Zombie kills for challenges.

My team found two obelisk at the same time. My teammate was in T1 and I was in T3. However, he had the ammo mod for the obelisk I found and I had the ammo mod he found. So we switched. Didn’t do them at the same time since he had a schorcher and I drove

Doughtnuts! I do this all the time. When you are upgrading a weapon, you need to unequip the weapon from your Inventory, add the attachments, and then reselect it. Im going to assume you click the weapon to change it, added the attachments to the weapon screen (Where it shows you your three weapons) then selected the same weapon. The game is stupid and thinks you haven't changed your weapon since it is the same one, even though you added the attachments...Just always unequip your weapons after each game when you are upgrading them. Done this plenty of times!

use the RGL with the AMP and slugs, its bugged at the moment and still shows the old RGL and the grenades explode but it takes out all visual smoke and explosions. i ran it with the detonators and it was the saving grace for our team, not the best at boss kills but the others had those on them.

Only one obelisk spawning in at a time is a false statement. Someone else spawned the rift at the same time I was in the middle of filling souls into another obelisk. The party that spawned the rift was in a different zone then I was so its most likely only one obelisk spawns in for each zone.

I already completed it as a team, now what I'm going to do is repeat it alone and each time I'm going to set myself more difficult challenges. At first I'm going to go with everything, RGL, Crossbow, Dead Wire Detonators and Aether Shroud. And every time I am victorious I am going to repeat it removing one of those things until I reach the most difficult point possible, but it is still possible to complete it. I think this is the best reason to replay this. Test myself...

From my experience, you’ll find at least one obelisk in T3. For one run all 3 were in T3, another run 2 were in T3 and on one in T2. So I would start in T3 if you’re trying to do the unstable rift.

You should have used the weapon part with the slug grenades for the RGL…..no smoke/explosion. Also deadwire detonators doesn’t affect the ammo mods/ completing the obelisks. They also definitely don’t spawn one at a time, I’ve had a team complete 3 at once and another flying to find the rift when it opened.

If you run teir 3 wait till the 28 min mark then start running teir three there's 6 spawn locations as you do missions just check around teir 3 and they'll start popping up pretty quickly I've done it about 10 times now and that's the pattern I use I've never had an issue doing it

The game supposedly spawns an open rift when the storm starts. Like a final chance for anyone to go inside without having the time (because the storm is expanding) to go around and look for more obelisks.

Playing at the exfull with the storm expanding (the first five minutes of the storm), there was an unstable rift open nearby. It could have been opened be the few remaining people on the map, or it was the given example of an "unsolicited" unstable rift offered by the game. Hard to tell.

I deff dont really like how a team can do all the work to open the rift just to have another team prevent them from getting in, my friend and i have tried to get in a few times but it keeps spawning the portal nearest other teams the first time it was 1200m away.... while yea its nice that there are available missions in zone 3 now, the issue now is if your team goes down in zone 3 theres no one around to hear your plea for help cause regardless of it being zombies, teams need to be so close to be notified of your plea

Question: Speaking of strategies in round based zombies. Training zombies is meta. Do you think the strategy will change in BO6 with the omni movement?

It's actually really fascinating in round based. Generally speaking, every map has a different "meta", but... Overall, training was the meta until around BO3 and especially BO4. BO1 and those games really on traps and wonder weapons, which means you need to train in between box trades and trap recharges. BO4 introduced a health cap, making weapons able to kill infinitely, so camping at fast respawn areas have been "meta" for quite some time. With super sprinters, high round training is still possible, but probably more tedious and not as safe. However, with Omni movement, I can see that being less of an issue, so I'm really excited for training to make a come back!

The omni movement might bring (I expect it will) a new movement from zombies too. Just like super sprinters make you adjust your training. Just like the health cap for zombies allowed for camping and higher levels. The game design in BO6 might center around the new omni movement and thus they might change how zombies behave, or how the hordes of zombies behave, to allow players to utilize the omni movement. In most games, movement changes, or equipment changes, led to different strategies, often making the old meta undesirable. I don't expect the developers to remove training, not in a hyped up round based game that took over 4 years to bring to fruition, but it may not be the meta as we know it.

I enjoy the replay value with things being RNG based and community works well for the most part. I’m just disappointed with the lack of content thus far. The slugs in the rgl work well with the boss. Not the best but they work and higher fire rate There are more than one obelisks at a time. We found 2 and even did them at the sane time. Another teammate found a 3rd while we were working on the first 2. We left it alone while we ran T3 contracts and always keeping an eye out for the rift to open by someone doing the 3rd one. Nobody did so in the last 5 minutes, I crushed T1 zombies with a pap3 legendary rgl with slugs and opened the rift at the location on the west side of the map(T1 exfil just north of the western inlet
