The great tip I discovered by accident : In the last phase, turn the run off. I accidentaly had no energy and everything was easier, less mess, more time to move and attack. Try it. My friend tried it and succeeded on the first try with no running in the last phase.

If you leave manually from the shadow realm as soon as you shoot last venator shot. You will always kill last orbs even if you are late. Obv as long as you beat the getting forced out of shadow realm point.

Wonderful guides, used them for every boss in DT2 and they helped a ton. Only boss that gave me a lot of trouble was whisperer and it's only because my mouse has an awful double click issue which makes it practically impossible to flick prayers accurately.

I'm really struggling with using the correct prayer when the Whisperer starts using multiple different attacks in one volley. When exactly should I be switching my prayer, because I always end up either being too early or too late. Do you have any tips for getting the timing correct

To execute the right prayer you need to put the correct prayer on before the hit splat appears then after it appears you can go straight to the next prayer :)

something that really helped me was to count in my head. the speed of the attacks is the speed that you change your prayers. turn sound on, it helps a ton, as soon as the first attack hits, switch to other, once that second hits switch to other, then move. hard to explain tho lol

When I was getting used to it I used to just watch my character for each individual hit to show up then click next prayer. Going off sound and watching the projectile I found I was swapping prayers too early

The only thing I don’t get is every time during the orb special phase, I take damage from the non lit orbs. I follow the same pathing in this video (don’t click on the unlit one, and click past it to run through). I don’t understand why I’m taking damage by running through the orb like you do in the video.

3 months late replying to this but maybe I can help someone else who is having the same issue. In order to run through the unlit orbs without taking damage, you need to make sure you run to a lit orb, then click to the next only after reaching the first. This is because when your character runs, they move in 2 tile increments. So if you click 2 tiles away, you never actually occupy the tile in-between. If you're taking damage from the middle tile, that means you were not actually standing on the adjacent tile when you moved across. You were likely 1 square further back, resulting in your character occupying the middle tile. I recommend enabling "Highlight True Tile" under the Tile Indicators plugin. This will show you exactly what tile your character is occupying at all times, and you'll be able to see where your pathing is going wrong.

I cant afford venator so I like just using knives. Especially if you use accursed sceptor at the start you might not have enough spec by the time you get to souls to use thrownaxe spec. I usually just go for mors souls with knives as the other ones are pretty useless I find. Gotta be quick but usually can get all 4 intime no problem. If I see im not going to make it intime with the mors souls I just hit the vitas as a backup.

4.5 hours of practice, 39 deaths, still can't get my first kill. Enrage phase moves too fast. I know what to do I just cant move that fast.

Checking in 2 months later, did you get it? I'm about to make my first attempt and I'm worried I'm going to have the same problem. I was barely able to keep up with Leviathan's enraged phase, and this seems even faster paced and more punishing.

@@Torvis_Maximar I hadn't realized so much time had already passed. I'm getting pretty good at everything pre-enrage. I can consistently anticipate and deal with whisperer's attacks. But once I get to enrage I keep making mistakes. Its hard. But I think I'll be there soon.

I agree. quest cape keeps getting harder and harder. When I started playing OSRS 4 years ago I thought end game pvm was where all the hype was. Turns out I don't even like most pvm because it is so punishing if you are not perfect in movement and prayer switches etc. No other MMO requires you to react as fast as OSRS does.

Yeah I wish this boss was more reasonable. If we have to deal with the shadow realm then make the mechanics slightly less punishing. If we have to deal with the punishing mechanics then sacrifice the shadow realm. Having both makes this boss borderline not enjoyable

This is a high level boss. You can kill it with lower level gear but the kills are so slow that it's not worth farming. There are bosses designed for lower level gear.

What happens if you just run behind the pillar with the most health and stay there the whole time? Why do we have to run to weaker ones first?

she does direct damage to the pillar you're behind so it gets one shotted basically, so you go to the lowest one, and then that gets destroyed, then the next lowest one, then that gets destroyed, then the last one (that had full health at the beginning but less health now since it takes passive damage)

Obviously this boss is in multiple different areas so you cannot mark the tiles for the enrage phase before the boss starts! Sanity is a cancerous mechanic also. Vardorvis is a top tier boss, Duke is aids with 1 min skilling prep and this boss also sucks.

Ancients to freeze boss after specs to avoid melee damage - but that can be avoided by staying distant after specs, just a little more effort.
